Great stay. First time RV camper here, would have been nice if the front desk gave us a quick run down. But we realized you could text the number given and they were very quick to respond. Arrived on a Saturday, park was super full, kids on bikes and golf carts everywhere. Site was clean, super easy to back into. Everyone that we met was very nice and friendly. Very family orientated. Would definitely stay again.
Beyond happy with our stay! This is our first year staying here. Our old campground, in the past few years, has made too many changes and renovations; farewell 50+ year tradition. Hello new tradition of staying at the KOA! The staff is beyond friendly and goes out of their way to keep the campground clean! The different variety of lodges and sites they offer is beyond compare! Our stays here might become more than a once a year thing! I can't wait to come back! Highly recommend!
This was our first time staying at a KOA .The camp ground does have a lot for kids to do , with that being said most of the things like go carts and mini golf aren’t actually part of KOA there is just access from the camp ground . The pools where extremely gross and for as many people the camp ground holds there are only 2 small pools between the 2 pools they hold about 200 people . We lodged in a deluxe cabin . The cabin and the site themself where really nice , but for the price they could have been cleaned better . Floors where super dirty , the bathroom shower curtain was missing tons of hooks and the smoke detector was in need of new batteries the cabin slept 8 people however it only had 3 fork we did find this comical . Other then that staff was really nice and we will probably return .
This was our first time camping in a RV and the staff do their best to make it easy and enjoyable for you. All were friendly and knowledgeable. The camp has a ton of activities and multiple playgrounds for kids. We'll definitely be back next year.
Our very expensive lodge L291 was dirty inside, garbage all around outside, has not been trimmed so the tall grass where grass existed, mostly dirt and weeds are out of control. Deck rotting, door wouldn't lock. All this awesomeness for $225 a night. We left two days into a three day paid stay. Manager wouldn't even talk to me, hiding in a office. Sent the rude responses through the pleasant check in staff. Seems cowardly to me. I was told I would be contacted about the situation, still waiting. Judging from the many poor google reviews that have not even been responded to by owners / management I think they just don't care. Too bad as our first stay there was in 2005 and it was amazing and all stays after that with our RV. How does it go from so good to so bad? Was there a change in ownership?
We have a great time every year! This year unfortunately work was being done on the waterslides and the area around the bouncy pillow so both were closed. There were also kids stealing bikes. Thankfully we were able to take our son's bike back but that was unfortunate. We are looking forward to coming back again as a big group next year with 5 star ratings as past years.
We have camped here numerous times throughout the past few years. We love this campground. We adore your staff member named Jenna. She is always smiling and goes above and beyond to make our stays so wonderful.
I've stayed at PHKOA several times. On this visit, which is by far the worst, I stayed in Lodge 295. Upon arrival there were 3 dirty used towels hanging above the shower on the shower valance. The shower door was FILTHY and looked like it was NEVER CLEANED. My children were actually afraid to take a shower with the door being so nasty. Kitchen supplies were missing including the lighter needed to light the stove top. I called the front desk to request a lighter and someone to clean the shower doors... no one has shown up. I brought out-of-town family to this campsite, giving it rave reviews... only to be embarrassed by the FILTHY shower and lack of response from the staff. To make things worse, several of the attractions are closed. I don't think I'm interested in revisiting, it's DEFINITELY gone down hill!! Restrooms: The shower was so disgustingly FILTHY that my children were afraid to take a shower.
Haven't been in a long time myself and my kids have never been, so that meant we had to take a trip, splurge a little, and have a blast!!! Which it was!! Staff was friendly and we rode on the rides for awhile! Water slides weren't open though shame. Overall, great time and will be heading back soon!
Just recently visited this KOA. Growing up my family camped here many times. And now that I have a daughter of my own I was beyond excited to visit it with her and share that experience with my child! With that being said I will never return. The unprofessional staff were unbearable. And the disrespect from the “owner” of this resort was unbelievable. I was yelled at by this fellow and he proceeded to snatch an access card for the gate directly from my hands. Then come to find out the the fact that I have younger facial features he believed I was a teenager. I would recommend no one to take their family here
