This was the worst ice cream my wife and I ever had. I had two scoops one was mango the other one was maple walnut. Maple walnut flavor I couldn't taste anything but kind of salty taste. I tried as a sample pistachio and I couldn't taste anything but yucky taste so luckily I didn't get that one but even the other one that I took were bad. I would never go there ever again and I don't recommend this place.
It's ok! Try before you buy. Some flavours like matcha were good for me, but my friend wasnt a fan. She preferred the mango!
My family and I recently spent a few days in Whistler and discovered Pop-up Scoop Ice Cream. The ice cream is really, really good. If you like organic, creamy, not overly sweetened ice cream at a very reasonable price...then you need to go here...it's delicious! I tried the Pistachio several times and really enjoyed it, so I'm not sure why some of the reviews are negative, maybe those people like the overly sweetened and green dyed pistachio that some places serve, I prefer natural, creamy with still a dusting of pistachio crumbs in it so you know exactly what you are eating....delicious!! My wife and kids tried several other flavors as well and they were all really good. I really cant understand why this place is not lined up out the door like another place in town....I guess some people just like to follow the herd. Separate yourself from the herd...try this place out...its amazing!
Went here because cows had a long line. The ice cream was okay! They have vegan option which is always nice.
I tried 6 regular dairy flavours, but all of them were not sweet enough, and the taste is quite light. Very creamy though, but definitely not very tasty nor sweet. I had Nutella/Pistachio/Matcha and my boyfriend had Strawberry/Chocolate/Regular vanilla and we were both quite disappointed. The fact that the flavours names are not displayed is quite annoying as well, because you have to ask the staff what is what.
If you have a palette that needs super sweet sugary gross ice cream - like you grew up on Mountain Dew and candy.. then go elsewhere. There’s other reviews about it not being sweet enough to some people. I’m giving 5 stars cause it wasn’t overly sweet like most things in Canada & I actually ate the whole thing it was delicious. I have a scoop of Belgian chocolate and I’m still thinking about it! If you’re looking for a more European level of sweetness, look no further. I’ll be back to try more flavours!
We came here because our favourite ice cream shop, Cows, was busy. It was a terrible decision because the ice cream was very liquidy. I chose cookies and cream and it was not flavorful. My partner ordered pistachio and said there was no flavor as well. We both chucked it in the garbage and walked back to Cows. Save your time and money and don’t come here
It was final $1 deal for a scoop. I tried matcha, belgian chocolate, earl Grey, strawberry cheesecake including my friend's one I threw mine away after few bites. It was worse than supermarket one. Ben and Jerry icecream is a lot better.. trust me. But it was anyway total $6 or so. I would have requested a refund if I paid full price. I did not think that cow icecream should be better but maybe..
Tastes weird. I had mango and coconut lime. Both tasted very odd. Like artificial, chemical flavors. Avoid those flavours. There were zero signs indicating the flavours or whether any of them was dairy-free.
My husband and I were very hot and wanted an ice cream since the 2 cows had a big line we thought that Pop - up Scoop would be a step up from DQ. We wish we went to DQ. The ice cream was not sweet and tasted like they put wipped egg in it rather then real cream. It was a rip off and tasted disgusting. Both my husband and I threw our cones away and didn't finish eating them. It was a hug disappointment. I wouldn't bother going there if I was you!
