Poissonnerie Les Escoumins

We drove up the side of the St. Lawrence River, across the Tadussac ferry and on up past frozen lakes and snowy forests to this wonderful seafood restaurant, located by the bay.nnThe lobster season had just started a few days ago and their tanks were full. We treated ourselves to:nn- a mixed platter including freshly boiled snow crab legs so sweet!nn- a freshly steamed lobsternnThis food was superb! The snow crab legs were so deliciously sweet. The lobster was one of the best I've had for a long time: a good size, perfectly cooked and so tasty! Absolutely delicious. It's my second time here...food is good people is nice but today I asked for the lobster poke bowl.nnIt looked nice but it was cold, directly from the fridge, it looks like it was already prepared and they just take out from the fridge to the table.nnI was so hungry, I ate the lobster and some veggies and leave the rest.nI wasn't sure if it's like that...but NO good.nnAsk first before order this plate.nnMaybe I should ask to change it, I wasn't sure if that was the presentation.

Good experience overall; we received friendly service. I was a bit disappointed with the value of the dishes. My father and sister shared a seafood pizza, but it was almost all cheese. I tried the crab, it was fresh, but had way too much rice.

Good diner. I would definitely recommand to call to book a table because it is one of the only decent restaurant in town so it's extremely busy. They re organisation for tablr that has to wait is good. The food is mid-good. BUT exept fries, there is no vegetarian option.

We arrived at 7:30pm with 2 kids after a long drive from Montreal as this restaurant has highest rating in Les Escoumins. There were 2 families ahead of us in queue. Single customers were seated at table for 4. At 7:55pm maitre d' tells that kitchen can't take any more orders. Despite high season the staff were unwilling to accept us. They could've informed the customers in queue earlier, but didn't really care to. At that late hour, every other restaurant was closed.nVery poor management.
