Our two days stay was of mixed emotions. The room truly comfy and spacious and the beds were calming. But we expected the room to be cleaned the next day, and did in fact placed a notice on the door knob outside the room. Sadly we got back to an unmade room, the towels unchanged and the notice was found tucked back into our bedside switch… apparently someone came into the room but did not tidy the room.nBut generally, Mon Coin de Pays is a calm quiet place to rest.
The hotel is nicely decorated, but...nnThe walls are paper thin and there is a lot of road noise.nThey have turned off the light on the stairs... bring a flashlight.nThey supplied coffee & a coffee maker... but not filters that fit it, bring your own.nThey supplied tea... but no kettle.nnI really expected breakfast to be included, from the photos on the booking site. Afterwards I saw on their mobile site that there is none -- I'd been linked directly to the booking site from another website of the same company, so did not see that. My bad for not checking, but they should remove the photos of their breakfast if there is none -- stop advertising it if you aren't providing it.
As many guests of that place we also spent just a night before our whale cruise. Place is pretty close to the Tadoussac about 17 min drive. We didn't see anyone from the stuff but that was ok. Our room was on a ground floor and code worded perfectly. All instructions by email were in French. I have some basic in it so it wasn't a huge deal. Just little confusing since I was waiting for a number of room but they have names for each room.nRoom was clean, beds are pretty comfortable. We had a fridge with a little freezer, microwave and toaster. Also coffeemaker. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Wifi stream was amazing.nVillage is small and quiet. It's better to buy some food on your way here especially with an evening arriving.
We just spent the night before going to our whale cruise. Nice clean room, nothing too fancy. Good wi-fi and cable tv. Had microwave, toaster which activated the smoke detector lol, coffee maker and fridge. Very small village, just for basic supplies. We talked to the reception ladies, one very poor English but the other one was communicating effectively and was very helpful. Overall a good experience.
Great little hotel close to Tadoussac. Send to have been recently registered and it looks just great. Rooms have plenty of space and the bathroom is really nice. Staff is more than just friendly and the included breakfast is great. Decent WiFi and warm drinks offered for free throughout the day. TV and AC in the room is another bonus. Would recommend this place as an alternative to anything in Tadoussac.
