Pogue Mahone Irish Alehouse

Monday nights, their fish and chips is ½-price and it's good: delicious crispy battered first with French fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. Very filling! Good selection of beers on tap, including ~3 from Granville Island. Server was friendly and quick with the drinks (though it was very quiet inside). Good place to watch sports whole you eat — all the screens were set to the Olympics, which was a big plus.

Loved this place! The pub fare is done really, really well - classics like burgers & fries, bangers & mash, plus great rice bowls and a Bibimbap special! Staff and sound technicians are great - smiles and a dedication to service! The bathroom was clean, layout is very laid back and feels roomy.

Not happy with the food. They could of had another server at happy hour kinda busy. Loud people going in and out of smoking area.

My favorite pub to go to. They support community events and have great food with a monthly fresh sheet that keeps us on our toes. Highly recommend this pub as one of Kamloops best places to eat.

Went about 5 years ago and swore I'd never go back....snotty service, gross food etc. Recently spoke with friends who frequent the place and was convinced to give it another shot based on their RAVE reviews. Was not disappointed....FOOD DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!! Clearly their is a new passion in the kitchen. Everything was fresh and home made tasting, right down to the fresh cut fries!! Service was great, atmosphere was great and the prices were well below what I would have thought given the portions we received!! If you've been here before and were disappointed, I strongly suggest you give them another go.....based on our experience we will be highly recommending based on the delicious food alone!!
