I remember going to Plylies when I was a kid when the store was in town. I remember the huge, giant chocolate bunny and their wrapped hard candy. I always liked going there and would like to take my granddaughter there some day!

Love this place. So sad to see them going out of business. The best candy around.

QUALITY in capital letters. Boy am I glad I stumbled onto this place after seeing a strategically placed billboard on I80-90. They don’t have a website and it’s too bad that the google listing is unclaimed. The warehouse was clean and machinery well maintained. Shiny old fashioned copper kettles. This was what Fannie May and Frango were meant to be, before they got too big and quality went down the pipes. Pictures of generations of candy makers on the wall. The prices are extremely reasonable for the kind of quality you are getting. Even the “chocolate seconds” were amazing! The flavor of the hard candy and taffy were delicious. I was floored at the variety, many of which weren’t available even at speciality nostalgia candy places: horehound, sasporilla. (See my picture) Right amount of tart, and natural fruit flavor unlike the mass produced stuff. And 5.99 a pound? WOW. Clearly this is a local secret. I’m a little afraid that posting but a secret like this is too good to miss.

Always accommodating, and my friends and family always ask for Jack's cordial cherries at Christmas! Everything they make is delish.
