The drinks are carefully and thoughtfully made and the coffee is of high quality, super smooth. The menu is inventive with an interesting use of ingredients. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Not sure why people are rating this place so low based on the prices of the drinks. This is a high end experience - not a Starbucks! The ambience and the food were great too and you definitely get what you pay for! Vegetarian options: Some veg options available. Kid-friendliness: My toddler enjoyed the sweet treats the cake was not too sugary. This place is family friendly but the stairs up to the shop from the street make it less accessible for strollers or wheelchairs. Not sure if there is another option for accessibility.
aesthetic cafe with super cute drinks. because of this, the drinks are expensive for what the content is. i got the matcha cloud latte which although was super pretty, was alright in taste. you are definitely paying for the atmosphere of being there and picturesque drinks. i do also have to say that tables are quite small and not a lot of solo seating spots.
The cutest little cafe downtown with a unique menu! The drinks and the food have a good variety of options and they taste great. I loved the cloud latte and the smoked salmon croffle. Lots of outlets if you want to work or study here.Recommended dishesChoco Lava, Thai Milk Tea Bun, Sunshine and Taro Latte, Passion Fruit Juice, Cloud Latte Toffee Cake Orange Carno, Honey Lemon
cute new cafe, but unfortunately I think the aesthetics outshine the food. I ordered an almond milk latte and it was very overpriced for what I received. The coffee went cold quick and once it did, it tasted off. Not much comfortable seating, with one but table equipped with a power bar. Don’t come here if looking to get work done. I am interested in trying other drinks so I might return, but my first time here wasn’t really up to par. pros: - aesthetic ambiance cons: - expensive - lack of seating - not much bakery selection - opens a bit later overall rating: 3/5
We went on a Sunday afternoon. The cafe is overall not too crowded and quiet. Service is excellent they bring your drink to your table. All the drinks are absolutely beautifully made. I love my order "Plearn!" It's a mixture of milk and cream and topped with espresso. I would have given 4.5 because their free wifi has limited access. You can browse your apps but you won't be able to access websites.
Very aesthetically pleasing cafe and food! The cafe is very spacious and is a great place to work or study. The drink Taro Latte was delicious, but I found the Thai Milk Tea bun to be mediocre.
Cozy and tidy coffee shop! It’s so nice place to read a book: I set under the window in shiny day, I felt so comfortable there. There are two beans to choose between Brazil and Ethiopia. I enjoyed the Brazil with acidity. Almond tart was quite sweet, so it was good dessert with black coffee. And the baristas are so nice + Cảm ơn : Thank you for finding my pencil case!
Service was top notch. The barista took a moment to ask how our day was, and gave us recommendations. I always go with Americano but today tried the special drink “PLEARN” It’s dirty coffee.was so good Great little spot to quickly grab a cup of coffee. Best within a few blocks radius. Cookies are fresh and almond croissants are full of almond paste! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. Will for sure be returning.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Plearn, a cafe located in the heart of the city. Overall, I had a very nice experience and would highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area. One thing that immediately struck me about Plearn was the vibe of the place. The decor was very trendy and modern, with lots of plants and unique light fixtures. There was also a great selection of music playing in the background, which added to the overall ambiance. I felt like I was in a very hip and cool spot, which was a nice change of pace from some of the more generic cafes in the area. The food and drinks at Plearn were also top-notch. I ordered a Cloud Latte, which were delicious. The coffee was expertly brewed and had a rich, smooth flavor. I appreciated that the menu offered a good mix of classic breakfast items and more unique options, so there was something for everyone. The only downside to my visit was that the space felt a bit cramped. While the vibe of the place was great, there didn't seem to be quite enough seating for the number of customers. I ended up having to enjoy my drink while walking outside which i didnt mind since the sun was shining. I imagine that the space could get quite crowded during peak hours, so it might be best to plan your visit accordingly. Overall, I would highly recommend Plearn to anyone looking for a trendy and delicious cafe experience. While the seating situation could be improved, the overall vibe and quality of the food and drinks more than make up for it. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!
Cool new cafe with an airy and modern interior!! The baristas were very welcoming and had extensive knowledge of all their drinks, recommended me and my friend their Plearn and espresso tonic drinks which were amazing. In addition to the regular cafe offerings, they have coffee based drinks that you won’t find anywhere else in Toronto.
