Let me start by saying that it was a real privilege to get to use any lounge. I've been here a few times over the past couple years. When the volume is high, there's not nearly enough seats. Definitely not enough for social distancing. The food is pretty standard Plaza Premium food. There is a coffee machine with your standard espresso drinks. There's usually 3 hot plates 2 carbs, usually a rice and a pasta, and a saucy chicken dish. They usually have a raw salad bar, with 1-2 sauces, and 1-2 toppings. These are well-stocked. They have a separate dessert fridge - lots of mousse cakes and not always well-stocked. They usually have a jar of cookies and pretzels or some other dry goods. The service was great. The staff work non-stop clearing dishes, cleaning stations, and restocking food. Despite appearing over-worked, they remained friendly. The washrooms are a little tight, especially if you have a wheeled hand-carry. If I had to pay full price for this, I would not do it. You get decent seating and food paying much less in the rest of the airport anyway.
Limited options on food. No social distance. Shower room is not opened. Crowded and annoyed crying babies. Not a good place to take a break. Giving stars are just for the decent services there.
Arrived almost before midnight and found this PP lounge quite disappointing in terms of food options. The only hot dish available was the chicken cooked in Asian style, with rice or congee. I did not get to enjoy other facilities like the showering room; but I was just there to have a decent seat and place to wait before boarding my flight.
Mediocre lounge. Pretty limited food options noodles or chicken with rice and a small salad bar. 4 drinks per person. Premium liquor additional cost. No showers. Clean-ish. Fast wifi.
Pretty ordinary lounge, especially considering it is at Vancouver International Airport. The food spread also not that big but refilled constantly. The staff also work tirelessly constantly. They should enhance the amenities & space. Very cramped
Night and day service vs Toronto domestic Plaza Lounge service. This was amazing. First off decor was much nicer, the stairway and elevated seating area was a nice touch. Away from the noise but still in tune with the planes coming in and out. Food was okay during COVID and was served to you by request. The bartender was AMAZING. This guy knew his drinks and they had a proper bar, unlike the Toronto domestic lounge. Decent selection of options and the bartender had AMAZING service and enjoyed every moment. The bartender out of his way to call the gate for my flight to see when they are departing and boarding. This was true customer service.
Good folks here. If you have Canadian Military / DND ID, they will welcome you, unlike Air Canada Lounges. Good people, food is good too and includes Drinks Wine, Beer ect after-noon. Healthy food choices and Lattes too. Comfortable lay over. Recommended !
For what they do they do it ok? Busier times than others, so expect lots of fellow travelers. Although the breakfast of sausage & eggs runs all morning, the lounge also has desks to work at, unlimited coffee and staff were always coming by to clean up dishes.
First time at the Plaza premium today! This lounge offers comfortable seating, a good selection of food and drinks booze too! nap rooms are closed, but everything else is open shower for a fee. The real reason I came to leave a review today was the EXEMPLARY staff working the lounge. The girls at check in were infectiously happy, very helpful and knowledgeable and incredible welcoming. Fiona and Lindsey are amazing team members and deserve recognition for their efforts! The rest of the serving staff and bartender were also fantastic. Thank you for a great experience while waiting to start my vacation!
Edit December 2022: Unfortunately this lounge has gone downhill through the pandemic. Food offering is better than during the pandemic, but still worse than 2019. The furniture and flooring are worn and need replacement. Happy to say their staffing levels have recovered fairly well. Previous review 2019: Very pleasant staff, nice food for a Canadian lounge. Would be nice to see a second choice of beer and a brut/champagne on the bar offering.
