Honestly, I have no idea what this location is actually looking for. No matter the season, they somehow always pick the most unexpected item from everything I bring in, usually the worst no-brand piece, while rejecting almost everything elseincluding like-new Skechers boots, UGG winter boots, an Adidas backpack, and barely worn Lululemon sports bras. When I used to go to Plato’s Closet locations in Toronto, they would take around 60% of my items on average; this location takes maybe 1%. I’m not even expecting much money, I’m fine with $2 or $3 per item just to cover a meal before donating the rest, but waiting nearly an hour to be offered $2 total is a complete waste of time. I could easily sell brand new branded shoes for $10 on Facebook Marketplace without the wait. I won’t be coming back.
I had a great experience w Sam at Plato’s! She has excellent customer service. Ive sold and bought items here, n she’s the only one who clearly explained y some of my branded items couldn’t be purchased. I really appreciated how patient n helpful she was, especially when I had questions abt d current store promotions.
I had a very disappointing experience at Plato’s Closet Varsity. From the start, the staff member I interacted with was dismissive. She told me, “we are very busy, so do with that what you please,” even after I explained it was my first time there. The tone felt unwelcoming and unhelpful.nI was given a time to return, and when I came back, I was told that several of my items were “out of style.” This was surprising, as some pieces were basic items like plain tees, and others were purchased as recently as last year from brands like Polo.nOverall, the experience felt rushed and disrespectful, especially for a first-time customer. I understand being busy, but basic courtesy and clear communication go a long way. Unfortunately, this visit left me unlikely to return
Stopped at Plato’s closet to do a quick shop. Tereza was super helpful, the store was clean and well organized. I love coming to Plato’s for my second hand shopping! One of the items I bought was even brand new! Will always come here to do my shop!
Great stow, can sell your clothes and they have lots of great options!!
