Once Upon A Child is such an amazing store for parents to get clothes, books and toys for their kids. This location has a lot in it, so the isles feel small, but that just means the selection is huge. Very good selection of books and toys as well. Staff are friendly. If you have the option, don't go close to opening it is very busy or on the weekend, otherwise you just feel like you are crawling over other customers to look at stuff.
I took in 2 medium sized boxes of quality children's clothes. They didn't want any of them, not because they were stained or dirty, but because they only sell junky clothes. This store is so packed with clot6and toys and kids things it goes against the fire code. I'll find myself a real consignment store, some place with quality items. When they gave me back my boxes they had just thrown everything back on, nothing refolded, neither top would close. I asked the salesperson to kindly close the one ox for me and it took her 4 trys to do it. I have no words.
Absolutely love Once Upon a Child! Amazing selection, amazing prices. Only way I will shop now!!!! My tween is also obsessed with school here.
I had an extremely disappointing and frankly shady experience at this consignment store, and I want to warn other parents before they bring their items in.nnI dropped off about 50 pieces of gently used baby clothing — mostly Carter’s, all freshly washed with newborn-safe detergent, wrinkle-free, and in great condition. Among the items were a Lou Lou Lollipop Waffle Sleep Bag 1.0 TOG $74, a Love to Dream Swaddle $45, and a Posh Peanut ruffle bodysuit $35. These alone had significant value.nnWhen I returned as prompt by the store text, the girl at the front register simply told me: “We’ve accepted 31 items for $35.”nNo breakdown of what they took, no list, no chance to review what they were keeping before I accepted. I had absolutely no way to confirm what they valued or how. Only after I agreed to their offer did they hand me my bag of the items they didn’t want. Had I known they were taking the high-value pieces for pennies, I never would have agreed. The lack of transparency felt incredibly shady. I later found out that they separated an outfit. Took the sweater but not the cute matching ruffle bloomers. What am I supposed to do with mismatched stuff now?nnTo make matters worse, the store itself was in poor condition. The aisles are crammed so tightly you can barely browse without clothing falling off hangers. Most of the clothing on the racks is low-quality polyester blends, and is priced the same as the rare 100% cotton find. Toys are wrapped in dusty plastic store bags or not at all, which makes them look dirty and poorly handled. Overall, the place feels cluttered and neglected, a breeding ground for germs.nnI understand consignment is meant to help families access affordable items, and I fully support that. But the complete disregard for both the quality and quantity of what I brought in — paired with zero transparency about what they were actually taking — left me feeling taken advantage of. I won’t be returning.nnIf you value quality cotton clothing for your baby or want a fair and honest consignment experience, I strongly recommend going elsewhere.
Great selection for kids and babies clothing. As organized as a second hand store can be no problems ever finding what I need for the kids. Able to sell stuff with ease.
