Such a frustrating selling experience. I brought in perfect condition dresses from Zara and perfect condition wool sweaters from roots all bought from this location and only worn once for a special event and they said they wouldn’t take them. The cashier whispered to me “try again a different day” because there was zero marks or wear. So I tried to sell them here again a few weeks later and they once again refused them. When I asked why she said there’s marks on them, when I asked her to show me the marks she couldn’t find any so begrudgingly gave me $2 per dress. Also brought in a brand new Zara dress with tags and they gave me $3. So irritating when I shop there and find lots of old navy, SHEIN, temu and carters items with stains, missing buttons, wear, pilling, and bagged out necklines but they won’t buy brand name items in perfect condition that were purchased at once upon a child within the last six months! I live out of town and at this point it doesn’t even cover my gas to go into Calgary to get scammed by once upon a child. I’ll sell my items on varagesale from now on.
Shop is big enough for getting all baby; toddler; kids things like Cloths including Jackets, daily ware, hats, caps and all. They also have corner footware as well.nnAlmost everything here is used stuff except some small items in clothing which seems news.nnThey have good range of toys small to big, stroller, bike, and scooter as well.nPlease note that you might have to look up as some toys are placed above at very top of cloths racks.nnBasically little space to move as like you see in new clothing shops but yes fare enough considering the business type they involved in.nnI found staff supportive and informative, only issue is less staffing at cash counter, this is again may be because lots of stuff is coming in and they need heavy amount of sorting.
I think the varsity once Apon a child are rip off artists! Its insulting and degrading what they offer you. Or don't offer you I brought in a few items they robbed me blind on the things they did take, then the things they didn't I was shocked. I'm glad they didn't take them. I sold those items on markets place for a fair price. For instants I had a mechanical ride on hide on moving horse on Amazon retails for 400.00 they didn't take it I sold it for 50.00.on market place just a example. I tried to reach out to the owner to discuss a few concerns of mine, and the owner couldn't give me the time of day. Please don't take items there!
Was great up until my son hit 12month sizing. Not enough variety in types of clothing, mostly jeans and button up plaid shirts for sizes 12 mo to 2T been this way for a few months. Usually only have fleece sleepers and lately I’ve found many worn pieces or with stains on them. Store super small and not stroller or kid friendly. Toys left everywhere on the weekend by kids. shoe bins are gross to sort through. Checkout can be slow.
Waste of time, don’t sell here. It was my first time there and the initial lady that directed me was kind. The lady pricing and the lady at the till were also kind. But my my my, do not sell here! Initially I was told about a hour and 20, but it became 2 hours. I understand it is busy but it took lots of time. But my biggest most frustrating issue was what they did not take. On the website there is a section where they describe what they take. Ages premmie to 20. To my understanding that also means teens and young adults. So I had ages 9–20. When I went to pick up my clothes, the lady organizing through my clothes was so rude and so utterly grumpy. She was muttering to herself about how much clothes I brought in and how everything was adult size. I didn’t know they did not take braseven though they were barely used while assuming they would as teens need bras too, and there were a few jeans that I mis bagged and were adult size. I take full responsibility of that. But the lady just kept on talking rudely about the things I had brought in. It was my first time and rather than being rude she could have nicely described that they do not take although I had called a few days earlier to ask what they took and what they didn’t, and I was told everything as long as they were in good condition and in the right age bracket.nnFurthermore when I received my order back, they had only taken 14 items, out of 5 big garbage bags. I took my bags to the car, knowing there were items that were never worn and were teen sizes. I bring two items back never work gap kids, with tags and asked why they had not taken them. The lady said she did not see the tag. Huh??? I bring in my clothes hoping and trusting the worker is able to do their job and proudly do their work. What excuse is there when I have bags still with clothes from gap kids, in great condition no stains, no rips, and worn maybe 3 times max? The worker said it looked to big….? Kids who are 12-20 can range from so many different sizes, so that being an assumption is annoying just because they don’t think it would fit a kid, with a tag that says age 16. I was also told that they do not take clothes that have a label marked with as small, medium or large, as they only want tags that have the actual age like size 9/size 18. But when you go buy clothes for teens they do not say size 19, they are in the kids section with labels marked as small, medium and large. Very confused about this rule and does not make sense to me. If these are the restrictions but it on the website and tell your sellers that.nnI was annoyed and upset, and rather than taking more time to go back and forth with this worker I just left. I have about 3 bags of unused and gently used kids and teen clothes that I am so confused about, that were not taken because they had tags marked with small, medium and large.nnWaste of time, and will never come back as the one worker was rude and disrespectful muttering while organizing about the clothes I brought in.
