Very nice Place probably my favorite in Canada. I like the old european of this square.nAlways a lot of activity going on here. in summer it was particularly nice as the flowers were all out.nHighly recommend visiting this place.
Our tour guide is incredibly knowledgeable and adept at sharing the rich history of each location we visit. Place Royale holds great significance as the site where Samuel de Champlain established the City of Quebec in 1608, marking the birthplace of French North America. It’s a public square is in the heart of the historic Old Quebec. The diverse architecture in the area reflects the various periods of French and British influence, blending historical charm with modern elements such as steel and glass structures. Many of the heritage buildings have been repurposed into inviting spaces, housing restaurants, souvenir shops, and local craft stores. A notable attraction is the Notre Dame Des Victoires, the oldest stone church in North America, which captivates many visitors. Overall, this area exudes a captivating, lively and delightful ambiance.
Beautiful and lovely area. The mural is so beautiful it shows all 4 seasons.
We sat in this lovely plaza people watching after touring the city. It was later in the afternoon so quieter than other times. I felt like I was in France.
I Visited Place Royal Quebec during my recent trip to Quebec City. This historic public square in the heart of Old Town is a beautiful and well-preserved example of 17th-18th century French colonial architecture. The surrounding buildings, cobblestone streets, and views of the St. Lawrence River create a charming and picturesque atmosphere. I enjoyed wandering through the square, admiring the architecture, and soaking in the lively ambiance. A lovely spot to spend an afternoon in Quebec City. Highly recommend a visit.
