Pizzeria Serio
"My Pizza was inspired by the pizzaiolos that immigrated to America from Italy and opened the first Pizzerias in NYC, many of which are still in existence today. I like to call it NeapolAmerican, but some might call it NY Style or New Haven style, but whatever you call it, it’s instantly recognizable to anyone familiar with East Coast Pizza. It has the same DNA as those pizzas made by Neapolitan immigrants as they started adapting their pizza to American tastes. From the great Slice Joints like Ray’s or Joe’s to the “Pie Only” places like John’s, Lombardi’s, Grimaldi’s, and Patsy’s, I wanted to bring a similar Pizza to add to the great pizza landscape in Chicago."

Great pizza! They are currently doing takeout only. We ordered the sweet heat and the big cheese. I personally like the sweet heat the best but both were packed with flavor. The sausage had a nice spice to it. The crust was cooked to perfection. It's more traditional Italian style. Would definitely orde from them again. The staff was great!
The pizza here is always good. We had the pie with pepperoni, sausage, and Canadian bacon. The one thing that I found was the appetizer we had, the bruschetta, was very salty. The tomato topping was fine, it was something they put on the bread 5hat made it salty. Not a complaint, just something I noticed.
We order pizza from here weekly. And we love the Italian salad. Favorite pizzas are sweet heat, and devil in the white city with red sauce added. But we love many others too.Food: 5/5
Very solid pie! Got a large pepp for takeout. Flat crust, delicious red sauce, thick cheese. Reminds me of the pizza in Long Island. Not as thin as New Haven. Also important to note, excellent customer service. Very friendly over the phone and in person, and because my pie was delayed and I was waiting inside the manager offered me a soda on the house. Would love to visit in person when the time comes.
Ordered 2 pizzas cause it was on special that day.. both were good, tasty and hot!! Dine in.. have. Drink and enjoyFood: 5/5
I've had this pizza before, but it had been a while. Tonight I customized my own and had it delivered. It hit the damn spot! I forgot the crust was sooo good. I'll have to come in next time cause the place has a good vibe.
Only calzones in Chicago! I'm originally from Jersey and have lived here for 6 years now...There are about 4 places to get actual pizza R.I.P. Cafe Luigi : , but this is literally the only place that can make a calzone! Do not ask me how that's possible--just trust me, this is what you're getting--and they're great calzones!
Love their pizza, never disappointed.Food: 5/5
Loved it! Great Napolitan pizza and yummy Nutella dessert! We got a pizza Margareta and a Diavola one was half price because it was Tuesday! and they were both fantastic, fresh ingredients and a nice balance of flavors. For dessert we got the Nutella baked in pizza dough and that was a wonderful treat at the end of the meal. We brought our 9 month old daughter and they were great with accommodating her and she really enjoyed herself.
Best GF/DF breakfast pizza! And complimentary fresh made cinnamon rolls with brunch! French toast sticks with berries, mmmmm
