Decent place, ice cold water. It’s mainly an area for boats and watercraft, I couldn’t find any beaches. I spoke to some of my friends and they said it’s an excellent place for Standup paddling or canoeing through a river channel. But we couldn’t find it. I would recommend if you have a watercraft or a boat. Be advised that the water is wavy.
A must visit place. Beautiful scenery and good trail around the marsh and on the dikes. A good place to take your kayak or boats as well.
Amazing and such a wonderful place , summer is busy and winter is cold but worth the drive , and for Star photography it's the most unbelievable spot .
I highly recommend visiting Pitt Lake when you need some quiet time. It is quieter if you go to see the lake on a rainy day or on a weekday. When the weather is sunny and cool, I feel that the lake is something beyond the truth. Pitt Lake is also one of the best places to go kayaking and camping. Note: as of May 31, 2022, there are no public washrooms available at the lake.
Just over an hour drive from Vancouver. Drive also amazing. You are passing Pitt river, perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swim. Also, we passed so many farms, looks such local and beautiful mountains around you. Lake itself amazing, also so much wildlife and trails. Highly recommended!!
Beautiful location! Where the water hits mountains. Flat easy to follow trail system, many different types of birds and viewing areas. Pitt Lake is a clean, large lake.
Pitt Lake is the biggest tidal lake in the world. Watch out for the narrow channel from the dock all the way to the first island. There is a beautiful provincial park on the right with wild, free camping right on the beach. Nice waterfall on the left and hot springs if you're willing to walk/bike about 20km past the lake. $15 to launch a boat, $10 for overnight parking and $80 to rent a canoe. If you like the lake, annual pass is the way to go. Beautiful lake right outside Vancouver.
Great views. Canoing was fun, and each canoe needs one person who are experienced to lead or they won’t let you rent the canoes. I totally understand why they have this policy because they just want people to have fun and play safely.
Nice place for a stroll & to take in the nature away from the city hustle & bustle. Lots of families with kids and dog walkers in the area during the summer months.
Beautiful place for a walk or to sip some coffee and enjoy the view!
