All-around "wow". The staff was incredibly friendly. It's small and cozy inside, albeit, a touch loud, but that didn't stop me from enjoying my time to the very end. It was lunch time on a Friday, so they were bustling. My drink and water came incredibly quickly with good tap options. I gave the burger a try and really like their "build-to-order" kind of style. The meat was super tasty and moist, and the grilled onions on my burger were delightful. I also really liked the bacon and the house aeoli. But, the real kicker: their fries are *shoestring* fries!! Crispy, light, and perfectly salted. Lastly, they partner with a bakery in La Center to bring in local pies and also make their own desserts in-house, so I got a piece of rhubarb pie to go. I cannot recommend this place enough. Next time I'm around I'll be there!
We spent the afternoon walking and hiking in the rain. When we finished we looked for something that would accommodate my vegan constraints and husbands carnivore tendencies. We had light refreshments and appetizers to tide us over until dinner time. Hummus plate with nicely cut and arranged veggies and a large portion of hummus and baguette slices toasted. The bruschetta was beautiful and delicious! The baguette was toasted and half included mozzarella along with a wonderfully sticky balsamic glaze that was not to sweet and still savory. Finally the “fries” were nice curled chunks of potatoes with skins. They were fried to a delicious golden brown with a crunchy exterior that perfectly foiled the soft and fluffy insides. To stick with the vegan mustard was the dip of choice and it was perfect. Last but certainly not the least was the staff. Our host/waitress/sever was polite, happily infectious to others and an honest to goodness nice person m. She was Uber helpful when determining my food options. She also pointed out that the owner of this fine dining cozy establishment was also the chef. Oh what a wonderful chef he is - we will be back!
First time eating here, the service was great! We had the build your own burger and half a BLT. The burger was good but the bun was a bit soft and slightly tacky. The beer selection was small but easy enough to find something youd like. The desserts looked great too!
Went here for our first time, it did not disappoint! I got their special of the day which was a Greek style philly cheese steak. It was simply amazing! Their fries are cooked perfectly as well! We cannot wait to try their breakfast items!
Cozy, comfortable space with friendly service and surprisingly great food. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had! We will be making this a regular spot.
Wanted to try local, found this little gem in downtown Ridgefield. Loved it, country setting and small town friendly. We had biscuits & Gravy and Pioneer Omelet, both were great and portions to fill/kill ya. Try it!
A gem! A good selection of breakfasts, lunch items and main dishes plus a soup and a stew in the evening. Dishes are expertly made and seasoned, portions are good size. Do not miss Friday’s clam chowder! Go early, they sell out. Service is excellent. And! They make their own desserts! Cheesecakes, fruit pies, cream pies. Best home-cooked food I’ve had in this area, by far! They also offer a reasonably priced wine list of tasty local and regional wines. Can’t say enough good things about ‘The Pio’ - as we fondly call it! Vegetarian options: Always a few vegetarian dishes Parking: Street parking is easy Cheerful and tasteful interior Vegetarian options Outdoor tables
When I initially went in there the place was empty except for one other couple. The server gave me the stink eye because I took a larger table, Tuesday afternoon no action, He eventually realized his mistake but never apologized I still tipped him 20%. Because the food was incredible, It's such a cute little place. I'm hoping he was just having a bad day. I've been in his place. I tried to edit the review I am going back to this little cute place, The owner contacted me and reassured me it was just a crazy day which is what I kind of thought, The food the avocado bacon lettuce tomato sandwich was spectacular the fries were the best I've ever had in my life.
We stopped by for a quick dinner before walking to the movie theater just a block away. Nice menu with American fare... I had a bowl of the daily soup nice portion and a half sized steak salad fresh & flavorful. The hummus is homemade as are the pies & cheesecake! Vegetarian options: Good salads ... nice homemade hummus plate... Kid-friendliness: No children present while we were dining but it feels like a good place for families. Parking: Street parking readily available. Dietary restrictions: Everything is freshly prepared and staff are accommodating if you need an ingredient withheld.
This place was conveniently located to where I was staying and I ate here both nights. Simple but delicious menu. I can tell that they put time and precision in to the entrees that are offered. Great stuff!
