Pioneer Energy Gas Station

I have been a Pioneer customer for as many years as I have had my license/a car. I even worked for them shortly in between jobs when I was a teenager. After yesterday, I will absolutely not be making Pioneer my number one. I have a child in the hospital in Hamilton and was sitting on nearly empty. The plan was to stop and get gas and run to McMaster. And then to St. Joe's for my own appointmnet. I put my card in, selected my gas, put the nozzle in and squeezed. The meter registered that $0.09 came out but there wasnt any resistance feom the handle...it was loose. I squeezed a few more times. Nothing. Went in, told the girl behind the counter what had happened and asked if I should move to another pump. She suggested to pay inside and try again. So I did. Went back out...and the pump still didn't work. I buzzed her and she said try another pump. So I did. But the money had been taken off my card already. I went back into the store and asked her what she could do so that I could get gas. She said, unapologetically, that there was nothing she could do. I was in tears. I drove to Hamilton anyway...because both appointments couldn't be rescheduled. I have never experienced so much stress as I did driving around on an empty tank with a flashing light. I explained my situation and there was nothing...absolutely nothing else offered. Not even a sinple apology that this had happened.

Love this gas station. In the morning I get the best prices in all of town. Prices on tobacco are fair and gas is good. I wish Tim Hortons opened a bit earlier but I understand it. There is a drive through and the bathroom is clean.
