We were evacuated from a nearby campground to the Pine Grove Campground. Our stay at the Pine Grove Campground was amazing. Dennis does a fantastic job with maintaining a clean and functional shower facility, while Abby does a great job keeping an eye on him. The showers were clean hot and available during our stay. The camp hosts Chris & Cathy, Tim & Becky were warm and welcoming. We couldn't ask for better hosts. This was one of the most tranquil campgrounds and we felt safe during our stay. The hosts consistently monitored the campground to ensure guests were accommodated. The campground was pleasantly quiet with an occational buzzing sound of generators from time to time. We enjoyed the tall trees and beautiful landscape. This was the perfect environment to train our search and rescue doberman puppy. Many thanks to the Pine Grove Camp hosts and staff for making our trip memorable, peaceful and productive! - Double Eye
Very beautiful spot in a pine forest next to a field marred by the sound of generators running from 6am to almost 10pm. I definitely wouldn't tent camp here. Camground is otherwise very nice and clean. The spots are spaced apart and each has a fire ring, table, and tent pad. Firewood, ice, water fill, dump station, and showers all available for a fee. There's also a nice 1 mile "interpretive" trail from the amphitheater, and access to the AZ Trail. If they would just ban the generators, or at least limit them to a few hours per day.
Very clean, very quiet and the hosts are second to none. Top off being right off Lake Mary Rd and two lakes and you have one of the best campgrounds in Flagstaff..! Many pines all over the area so lots of shade. We will be back that's for sure..!
Shaded, quiet, paved, lots of trees and quiet. Very nice location. A nice walking trail with gated access was a pretty 2 mile hike. About the best camping slots in the area. Sewer dump available. Showers available and very well maintained bathrooms.
Late season after a rain perfect 1 mile trail attached quiet w/showers and dump station. Paid $26 were closing 2nd wk of Oct. Beautiful
Coming up this Friday. We have a can am. Staying at Pine grove campground. Anyone ride up this way? There is zero way of contacting this campsite to ask any questions. If someone can please help that be great Update. Headed up and campgrounds are very nice and. Super clean. Spot can only fit 2 vehicles so I’d suggest a pull thru spot, it can hold more vehicles. Camp hosts were super nice except for the one grumpy old man who yelled at us for something the camp host the day before said was ok. His wife was super nice and tried to make up for his rudenesses. All in all good place.
We stayed 2 nights while traveling from VA sightseeing in AZ. Pine Grove campground was the cleanest, nicest and most relaxing of our trip. The hosts are all outstanding! Very helpful, friendly and professional. Good people! We highly recommend a stay!!
We camped here for 2 nights, and we loved It! Bathrooms were clean, and the shower area was extremely clean and well maintained. You do need quarters to operate the shower, but they have a coin vending machine right there! The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful with ice and firewood.. even though we couldn't make a fire due to lack of rain. The camp sites were large and ours was shaded. Definitely will go back! Loved it!
We just spent a week here and absolutely love it. It is so well kept, clean and peaceful. Dixie and Paul are the most wonderful campground hosts. They really know the area and were great on recommending things to do. Paul told me about many of the camp cooking things they do with the kids over the summer. They reminded me of my youth in Girl Scouts and camping with my family. I was so impressed that people still get that involved with kids. We are already planning multiple trips to Pine Grove for next season.
THIS is how a national forest campground should be run. We've been to many throughout the country. The camp ground hosts were fantastic from the very start until the day we left. Chris, Cathy, Becky and husband and Dennis- thank you so very much! Note: bring bug spray...the smallest of bugs have the biggest bites!
