Very beautiful spot by the river. Great rates for short term 2 week minimum or long term. Very quiet and well maintained by owners. Lots of green space with numerous walking trails.
Had to cancel our reservation upon arrival. Was not big rig friendly and the pull through site booked was a back in… Very rustic vibe. Long term resident population seemed unique and well established. Low lying power lines also made it difficult to maneuver out of the park once we determined thenpark was not for us. Ended up parking by the PetroCanada in town for the night. Staff was friendly at the park but very difficult to establish contact by website, email of listed phone numbers.
After cycling a long day, I turned up to find a big notice saying no tents, long term RV stays only. Apparently there are no washrooms which is why they are not accepting tents. One of the residents helped me find an alternative and the staff member I met was friendly.
My sister was thinking of booking here, so since I was driving past, I looked it over for her. As one of the other reviewers said, it looks fine for one night, but my sister wanted a 'destination'. This is definitely not it. I came on here to see if others felt the same as I did, and was rather shocked at the owner's responses. And considering that the one reviewer mentioned 'Jill' by name and was responded to by 'Tony', makes me wonder about the legitimacy of the two five star reviews.
This rv park is nothing like their website. The only way to get to the river is past all the worker's tents. We were situated side by side on a lawn, surrounded by permanent residents. It felt like we were camping in a mobile home park. I'm sure it's fine for one night, but not any longer than that. I gave it an extra star because the owner, Jill, is very nice, and the bathrooms were very clean.
