Pickerel Bay Cabins

Beautiful place! Not only great fishing, but the hospitality is so lovely! Would recommend definitely for families and friends!

Soon after arriving at pickerel bay I was pretty excited, they have a lot of cabins and 2 generators and a main lodge where they are very friendly, and offer you coffee and pies and cereal. They fillet the fish for you and have an ice house which is so handy and an added bonus for sure. All of the staff is pretty friendly. Skipping ahead to fishing the lake. There was 4 people in my group of fisherman that went up there, 2 per boat. My other 2 friends went out and the prop literally fell off the motor, leaving them stranded in a very large lake. They paddled 2 hours to another outfitters who was kind enough to lend his own boat so they could make it back to pickerel bay. When they told the elder man about what happened, he accused them of hitting rocks or trying to go somewhere they shouldn't. He then was swearing and threatening to punch my friend in the face if he repeated that the prop fell off when in idle, (which of course it had). Also to consider all of us Have boating experience. He then threatened to send us back on a float plane, which we immediately agreed was fine after such accusations and treatment. They went and got the boat and found no damage to the motor and started to retract that it in fact was not our fault. It was a very awkward experience for me, and I would never want to go back. We went to other fly in fly out fishing trips in the past that were amazing. The older gent that screamed and threatened my friend never did apologize to him. Although his son did. I would avoid pickerel bay cabins personally.

My wife and I just got back from this Awesome place! The meals were so good, the owners and staff were so great made us feel like we were at home! The cabins were so nice! Fishing was awesome my wife caught the biggest fish of her Life a huge 31 inch 23lb lake trout! See ya next year John and Terri! Thank you all of you Guys

I've been to Pickerel Bay Cabins at least 4-5 times in the past 10 years. I've brought my son and daughter every time. We've had the greatest time when there. The fishing was spectacular. The owners, Terry and John bent over backwards for us. The food was 5 star quality. I've used other outfitters in Canada and Alaska and Pickerel Bay Cabins ranks right up there as #1 in my books.
