This was walking distance from Jay's B&B & highly recommended. Jay said the specials were ‍ They were sold out so I believe him! The pizza tho....wow. So good. The service was great - genuine & kind. I was having a rough day & it showed... the waitress was spot on. The crowd was friendly....there was a table of locals that were living it up! Karaoke had just started & I could hear tables talking about what song they were gonna singnot!. Very friendly clientele. Definitely a great place to have a drink & dinner.
I feel that this review has more to do with a lack of staffing and or inexperienced Servers. Ordered a baked haddock special and got just the fish and nothing else, they forgot the side salad and other entree items and a kids dish. They were able to make the kids dish on the fly but due to over hungry kids we just had to deal with the fish and nothing else. The fish was good but would have been more filling with what was supposed to come with it.
Locals love this place and I can see why, it's got a lot of neighborhood bar charm. If you like bar food and pizza it's one of the best places around factoring quality and price; 49 cent wings on Monday are great and 5 dollar burgers on Wednesdays will keep me going back regularly. Full bar, reasonably priced and a solid enough beer selection for most drinkers. The expanded bar added more seats but it's still tight on the sides and a little noisy. There are several televisions with pretty good viewing angles for sports. The seating area is also a little small if the extra room isn't open which I think they use mostly for functions and maybe weekends. If you like the older bars with character, the dive bar vibe, and you're in the area, this is the place to go. There's some parking on the street out front and a lot in the back with a rear entrance.
I don’t normally post stuff like this but have to give a quick shout-put to Pic's Pub & Pizzeria! I ordered a Cauliflower Pizza to go on my way home this evening. When I arrived, parking was very challenging. I called back to let them know that I wasn’t sure how I would get a parking spot and maybe I should cancel my order. Dylan provided great customer service and offered to call me and deliver my pizza to my car. He called me from his personal cell to let me know when it was ready and came Al the way to the road to hand it to me through the window. Pics has been one of our favorite spots for years, but just another reason to love it. If you’ve never been, be sure to give it a visit!
I took my mom here for her birthday after hearing from a few people about the pizza being good; it was a lie. Dont go here, the pizza is in-edible. I ordered the white pizza; and i will say the crust wasnt bad but the rest was so bad i couldnt eat it. When you lifted the cheese there was a tablespoon of chopped garlic on ever piece. The brocolli ony had the base chopped of otherwise was the whole piece not cut at all. There was another cheese on there, ricotta; but it was legit just scoops of raw ricotta with zero flavor. Then we get to the coup de gras; the chicken. They actually chopped up frozen chicken nuggets and put at max a whole 3 on the entire pie. Avoid this place.
Pizza is delicious so is most of their food. Service is slow due to having little staff to attend patrons. Nothing special about this place just the pizzaFood: 4/5
I order a steak from here every month. The quality of the steak and the preparation are normally excellent. However, this last order took an extra half hour for it to be ready. I ordered to go and when I arrived home I discovered the steak was way overcooked. It was like eating leather. I am hoping this was a one time mistake. If not I will be placing my orders elsewhere. Other than this one time cooking error the food has been good. The takeout setup could use some improvements. You have to walk up to a very busy bar to let them know you have an order to pickup. These are all bar tenders who I know make their money on tips and certainly they make more tips on drinks than the occasional food order to go. So it usually takes some time for one of the bartenders to get to you. I don't put any blame on the bartenders, I feel management should probably pass the to go orders onto a hostess or cashier.
Local pub serving good pub food and pizza. Friendly place to have a drink . Mostly quiet during the day with the blue-hairs nursing their drinks, playing keno and watching the news. Lively at night with a mixed-age crowd.
We jumped off 91 on our way to Vermont to eat here. The food was amazing, the portions were huge, the service was outstanding and the drinks were well poured. We'll be back!Food: 5/5
