Read all of the great reviews and so wanted to love this place. Unfortunately we tossed everything we ordered after one bite. Didnt look good and tasted worse. Two stars because staff was friendly.
We went at the end of the night for the all-you-can-eat buffet. The folks there were so great!! So friendly, excellent selection and they were so gracious and brought us out fresh dishes of the food that they had run out of. They even brought out desserts for us. We'll be going back for sure. It was our first time there and I'd recommend this place.
It’s cheaper than most Chinese food places but it’s cheaper for a reason. The food was not great and the sweet and sour sauce is not standard. I really did not like it.
Three stars because of the great service. Attentive and helpful. Food was average at best. Canadian style Chinese, bland with goopy sauces. Not authentic and lacking vibrant flavour. Food was inexpensive compared to other local Chinese restaurants with most dishes under $15 but still not a great value. Ginger beef used powdered ginger in the sauce rather than pickled ginger.
Very friendly owners who serve up piping hot food fast and at a reasonable price. They also stay open an hour longer than the rest of them in Ladysmith. The food is delicious too!!
Always fantastic service and very good food. Best Chinese Food in Ladysmith by far. The owner is extremely helpful, articulate, and friendly.
Had take out and was satisfied with what we ordered. Lots of food for the price. Everything was hot and fresh. Inside is very outdated and the dirty fish tanks turn me off from eating in the restaurant. If you are going to have fish tanks, please make sure they are super clean, it's just a huge turn off when there is so much algae. Gaudy decorations and furniture that should be replaced and updated.
Excellent buffet, lots of variety and a step up from average fare. Beautiful curried dishes, fresh veggies, sweet and sour extra good. Best to go early when they bring it out fresh from the kitchen. Friendly owners and staff who make you feel right at home.
Super fresh and yummy, large portions. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely visit again when visiting Ladysmith
Just finished having the Buffet at this restaurant. Worst ever. Only tried three items which were all lukewarm or cold. Most of the dishes had a film on the liquid they were in as if they had been in their tubs all day or since the day before without getting mixed or stirred, to at least make it look like someone had tried them. We were the only couple there, which should have been a red flag. The coffee was OK but the cream was curdling. Never again. Hope I don't get sick.
