1st time at this place , it’s located well off the beaten path but worth the trip We ordered the Bun bo hue look at the picture how huge the serving was , it could feed a small country. Amazing taste. Short ribs were awesome but thought the portion was a bit small. The lemon grass with chicken vermicelli was also a huge portion, very filling and flavourful. A great add on was the banh mi dipped into the bun bo hue broth. The owner made a point to come out & greet us , which I’ve never experienced- great personal touch. Very clean premises Definitely coming back.
This was the spicy seafood broth with rice noodle. This was very very band. It tasted like instant tomyum hot pot broth just heated up and tossed on some noodles. Vegetables were uncooked the cabbage was still bitter. I have also had the beef pho here and it is not much of an upgrade, broth tasted like it was from an instant pho package base. Basically the broth/soups here do not taste authentic even though the restaurant&kitchen is run by Vietnamese. There are many better options around Guildford area. Separately though, their rice and dry vermicelli options with bbq pork or beef and spring rolls is good though.
I've been a regular in this restaurant for a long time. My favorite menu is house special. This is really delicious. But the food seems to have changed today. Disappointing. The amount is less than before, and the taste of the soup is bland. The soup doesn't taste as good as before. Noddles are also attached to each other. If this problem doesn't improve, I don't think it's going to come to this restaurant well.
traditional hue flat noodle soup 17.85 / so good pho 16.55 - eye round steak, brisket / combo rolls 13.65 - spring roll, salad roll, pattie pork roll
My friend took me out for dinner here today. I obviously had Pho, which was some of the best I've tasted. The broth was incredibly flavorful and service was top notch too. I will definitely be back with my family, the bahm mi alone looks like it would be worth another visit. Highly recommend you try them out!Food: 5/5
Usually hole in the walls offer you great authentic flavours, but I was quite impressed. I was a bit skeptical of Pho Hung because I thought it probably is just going to be ok because it looks quite pretty. I was wrong. The inside is quite pretty and modern, but the food was great! Our party was quite big, but we ordered a bunch of stuff and tried each other's items. We had pho dac biet house special, spring rolls, salad rolls, grilled pork on rice and an assortment of banh mi. Each dish was very tasty. Their banh mi though, was our favorite! It's crispy yet tasted buttery, the protein was flavourful, the picked radish tasted fresh, and the pate and mayo was just in perfect amounts. We were all very happy and will be coming back again soon!
Try this bright, clean and yummy family restaurant for: Very good phó closest Western equivalent: oxtail soup and fresh fruit drinks. I had their very popular beef combo phó—thin-sliced lean brisket, beef ballsic and stewed tendon. I declined extra rice noodles for $7 but was surprised by the generous size of the initial portion. For dessert, fresh passionfruit and lemon juice was my high vitamin C pick. One recommends connecting hopefully daily vitamin C intake with protein sources and the B vitamins usually found therein for metabolic reasons. Otherwise I have limited experience with their menu, but I definitely want to return, and since there is a good supermarket I could shop regularly—I think that market will be my excuse to revisit often although there is another, closer, grocery store—and I'll likely update this review if anything changes. Note, due the high cost of fresh beef tendon which they buy by the case at over $100 per, they have limited the portionif that item somewhat, but I really appreciated the owners openess in explaining why. Tendon is obviously an excellent primary source of collagen, BtW, with a lengthy cooking time, so restaurants that serve such serve a 'healthy food'. One of my pet peeves in food preparation is the amount if waste. If not for Asian restaurants, most tendon if not in the middle of an unusual cut, would be 'discarded' for feedstock or maybe even wasted! Eat gratefully and for good physical and spiritual health!
Vermicelli plate with lemongrass chicken and shredded pork was excellent. Great service with friendly staff. Wonton soup was good but a little fishy.
If you're craving pho in Surrey, do check them out. Food tastes great! The Grilled Lemongrass Chicken is delicious. The newly renovated interior is beautiful and staff were kind. I find the price to be slightly higher than other places in the neighborhood, but it's reasonable.
Worst service I've ever had at a restaurant. If you want to be ignored for 25 minutes when the place is almost empty, be brought the wrong order and then completely ignored again when you ask for cutlery then this is the place. First time I've ever asked for another set of cutlery TWICE and had the server straight up ignore me and never bring it, bear in mind there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. Absolutely horrendous service, they deserve to go under.
