If you are looking for a high end hunting experience, Pheasant Phun is the place to go. The lodging is impeccable, the food is gourmet and the hunting is fantastic. I have yet to find better hospitality and fun when it comes to a pheasant hunting operation! The guides are fun and knowledgeable! Great for corporate groups!

These Olsen's are the real deal! From the amazing hospitality to the abundant pheasant to pursue, this hunt was way beyond my expectations. The lodge was very roomy and comfortable, the food was delicious, the guides personable and fun, and Dave is just a wonderful host. I would highly recommend Pheasant Phun to anyone who wants to go on a genuine SoDak pheasant hunt and come away with lasting memories of flushing birds, beautiful working dogs, and great hosts to share with your friends and family.

Pheasant Phun is an unbelievable experience! The accommodations, guides, hosts, dogs and food are top notch! Pheasants galore! I'll be back for sure! Wouldn't go anywhere else...

The second flight an hour itinerary was canceled due to inclement weather. Dave told us to spend the night in the hotel and he would be there 7.am to pick us up we didn’t want to spend night so the 5 of us rented a large SUV and started the 5.5 hour driving from Minneapolis-St. Paul airport to Hitchcock South Dakota in white out conditions and black ice .... Dave Olsen was in constant contact with us from the moment we left the airport and until We made it to his lodge he was updating us on driving and weather conditions making sure we were safe. This is was our first time at the Olsen pheasant hunting lodge and our first time pheasant hunting in South Dakota in general. Dave Olsen was genuinely concerned with our well-being We arrived at the Olson Lodge at 10:45 PM completely Exhausted and Starving the Olsen family was there waiting for us with OPEN arms SMILES and smoked pork chops on the grill with all the fixings .......the OLSONS served us dinner complete with desert @ 11:30pm. NOW THATS HOSPITALITY. The lodge itself is an amazing structure that has every amenity you could possibly need, beautiful and new . with all fixtures and systems up-to-date to the highest standards. The mattresses were heavenly the pillows divine best night sleep I’ve ever had outside my house . The entire lodge is so well insulated and so warm that you did not even know that it was -5 windchill outside the building at night ——— Not even one draft could be felt in The whole place. After settling in we proceeded with two days of the BEST PHESANT hunting you could ask for with Dave Olsen himself guiding us with this four extraordinary dogs through the family’s property in Hitchcock . And as long as you have the legs and the stamina Dave will hunt you all day. Bringing us back for lunch both days and taking us back out for an afternoon session . I’m telling you it was one of the best Hunting experiences I’ve ever had . I highly recommend to anyone reading this that if you’re looking for a true pheasant hunting Experience and the FEELING of being with Family you don’t need to look any further than the Olson lodge They were the first place I called and Dave Olson promised me a fantastic Experience so I trusted him and booked with him without Even calling Another lodge . And I’ve been all over the world and I’ve stayed at high-end hotels but nothing compares to the Olsons hospitality and accommodations. As you can tell in my review everything Dave promised he delivered and then some THANK YOU TO Annie , Dave and Amy for a truly Fantastic Experience. Can’t wait to see you guys next year.......

The Olson's Pheasant Phun far exceeded my wildest expectations. The hunting was exceptional, all wild birds, great dogs, greater guides! The lodge is a hunters' palace, enormous evening bar and lounge, gourmet kitchen and dining area, the outside fire pits were great for BS fires, the beds were amazing, the accommodations were just top notch. Olson friends and family members drop in for dinners etc, the whole experience was so friendly, so casual, it was wonderful. Next year we're staying longer. When we left....but we left our deposits, (cash), for next year. I highly recommend Olson's Pheasant Phun.
