Pharmacy staff were very friendly and helpful. I've had trouble at other locations because my French isn't good enough to fill a prescription (my fault not theirs of course). But this pharmacist was great and had no problem doing it in English. I was there around 10 am so it wasn't busy and I got my prescription quickly. The cashier downstairs was also friendly and quick. Overall a good experience.

Nice pharmacy on two floors. It has a pretty full set cosmetic section. The cashier was very nice and friendly.

Great location downtown and great prices a lot of the time too! The staff is always nice and friendly as well! However I wish there wasn't always a homeless person by the door begging for money as soon as you get out of the store. Also at some points I have wanted to get cold medicine for when I was sick and the pharmacy was closed upstairs which was not the most convenient. Besides that though this is a great Jean Coutu!

I’m rating this place 1 star just to knock down their average score as from over a decade of going to different Jean Coutu’s, this one is by far the worst experience. Not only when you walk in, you’re stared at by their security guards from the moment you walk in. This is downtown Montreal and 2017- isn’t using a camera and maybe having a scanner at the exit enough? Or maybe a surveillance room? Or how about an undercover plain clothes dressed person? And now the good part. I actually used the online reservation system on the app to have my prescriptions ready. I did it basically an hour before I even got there. When I got there, I even had to hand in a prescription extension. I needed to ask the pharmacist a few questions too. Not only did I wait there like an idiot for nearly 45 min, I felt like I wasn’t handled properly. They have like 4 damn assistants to the pharmacist, all who seems to sitting on their behinds and hiding in the back or just standing around. Then the pharmacist, who was clearly overwhelmed with all the orders he had to fulfill, was apparently “new” which was the excuse of why it was so slow. Even people in the waiting area noticed and made comments. Further, to make matters worse, my prescriptions were all already pre-boxed and no counts had to be done or bottles to be used. I even had a cream in a tube that I needed, which they DIDN’T EVEN HAVE. Normally, they call you in advance when these things happen, but nothing. The staff seems so confused, it was a damn joke. This place is nothing like the Jean Coutu’s I’ve visited on Queen Mary, who look like Gods compared to this one downtown. I don’t care if it’s “busy”- how about hiring competent staff and not using pointless students who clearly suck at their internships. I would fail them all. I was in the “confidential area” and yet they didn’t control the people literally standing next to me, thus violating the Privacy Act, and they have a cramped area to wait. I am never going back to this cesspool of a Jean Coutu, unless it’s to buy something quick like candy or something that requires no actual assistance. There is never any stockboy or anything too. The fact I had write a review for a corporation located in the heart of the second biggest city of Canada says a lot about how terrible this place is. Next time maybe I’ll just go to the one in the McGill metro area where the Ailes Complex is as clearly the one near Peel is a disorganized mess.

Friendly staff, good selection, and unbeatable location. The only downside? Sometimes there are long waits
