Omg! Absolutely amazing. Just touched down from Chicago and headed straight here. Pizza was amazing. We had the shrimp scampi and will be back to try another pie. You must come in and grab a bite! Service was great and fast.
Our first visit to Petrone's Pizza was great. When we ordered a large veggie pizza, the owner told us we were in for something special. He wasn't kidding. The pizza had spinach and onions and olives and artichokes, tomatoes, broccoli, red pepper, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese ... Wow! Nice crispy crust too.
They are way overpriced 1 cheese and 1 Margarita for $48 and their pizzas are just average to below average. Pizza sauce they use is is little too sweet for me and base was bit thick. I wanted to try it because my friend recommended but for this taste and price I would rather stick with Dominos!
The pizza was great had to eat it with a fork it was so big. The crust was so soft but cooked all the way through delicious. My main course was chicken wing basket but ended up with dings still delicious with steak fries which was surprisingly good as well did not taste old or frozen came out hot. I fully recommend this place
Fantastic food and even better people behind the counter. I will always get food from Petrone's Pizza when I come back home. If this pizza was in LA, they would crush it........Food: 5/5
Fast and friendly service, with good food. I tried the steak tip salad, what is impressive is that everything is served separately, so the steak is hot and the salad is cold, not vice versa as is the case in many places. I loved the bread they serve with the salad. If you’re hungry and in the area, I suggest you stop by for a quick bite.
Petrones is the best! Always delicious food, great service and great atmosphere! I always love to order the boneless buffalo chicken calzone!
The Works is good. I order a separate pizza with mushrooms but they forgot the mushrooms. They were pretty swamped when I went there. Maybe in the rush, they forgot the mushrooms. Found out when I got home, and was too much hassle to go back and fix. They seem like nice people so I'm sure they'll give me mushrooms next time if I bring it up. Parking: There is customer parking behind and in front the row of shops. I find it easier to park in the back. Less traffic.
The first thing this place has is great staff! I called and asked about a “pie delivery”, and automatically had a multiple choice question about apple pie, blueberry pie, or pizza pie Lively phone call and got two pizzas. The cheese was stretchy, the sauce was just right with a hint of sweetness, and the crust is PERFECTION! We just moved to the area, so finding a pizza like this, right off the bat, is a solid win! A couple of days after we went and got some cheesy bread and another pizza! 100/10. Thank you for the great food and great service!
I wouldn't mind coming back if the other pizza spots in Melrose are busy. I ordered online during peak dinnertime and the order, instead of taking half an hour as estimated, took a full hour. That said, the staff are friendly and the pizza tastes good. It helps that the topping portions, at least for the large, are generous. My order needed some more salt to taste right which was unexpected but easily fixed at home.
