Petro-Canada

We live near this Petro Canada so we're in there 2-3 times a week for various things. The staff are all very nice (once I left a manila envelope on the counter by mistake and they kept it safely for me til I could come back to get it, for example). However, I'm giving this a 3 because (a) their prices are pretty high and (b) the selection of products in the store is incomprehensible and kind of useless. For example, they have 4 shelf feet (top to bottom) of beef jerky products - but no eggs or butter, no packaged cheese or luncheon meat, and the one time I asked about sour cream, none of the 4 clerks on duty knew what sour cream was ("You mean the chips, right?"). Maybe I don't understand convenience-store retail merchandising any more (it's been a long time since I've worked in retail), but it's hard for me to believe that all kinds of customers want beef jerky and no one ever wants eggs or butter. Also, if you go there after midnight, you may find yourself waiting outside for a few minutes until a clerk comes out of the back and unlocks the door for you.

Filled gas couple of times I like Petro Canada ultra octane fuel for my Audi The guy is quite helpful

Well located Petro Canada station near the Beer store across the street for Food Basics. Premises and pumps are clean. There are no line ups. Convenience store is well stocked and well lit. Attendant is friendly. Pay at the pump works. CIBC ATM machine. The station sells 94 Octane gas, diesel and 3 grades of regular gas. Wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible store. People are pleasant, but new to job and not sure ...I am sure they will get better. Bathroom is not really clean, but if it is an emergency it is better than peeing your pants.
