Employees were more interested in chatting together rather than offer any help. After spending 20 minutes in store we gave up any hope of getting assistance and left!!
The place is nice and they have very good supplies for animals but what I find very sad and what makes me outraged is that where they sell the hamster cages they put NO toys or ANYTHING. Just a bed for them to sleep in, some food and water and NO wheel NO anything!! Usually when I go to Nature’s Pet store at LEAST they put a wheel so they could run on it. But at Chiko’s they just put some food, a bed and some water. And when I went I saw hamsters come up to me and wanted me to adopt them. One was biting the cage bar and I read when they bite it that means they ARE VERY VERY VERY STRESSED and that means if you leave a hamster bored it can lead to SERIOUS health problems!!!! POOR THINGS!! They can AT LEAST PUT A WHEEL since they LOVE wheels!!
Really nice place if you love animals. Really good and friendly staff who takes time to help you. They also groom and wash animals and cutting claws etc.
I brought my dog here to get groomed. I showed the groomer a photo of my dog after a fresh cut to show her how I wanted him to look. She didn’t follow this AT ALL. She buzzed his mane off completely and the cut was so uneven As if she put no effort or care into it at all. He also started crying like I’ve never seen him before at a groomer. I don’t think she is an animal person. I will not return here for a groom. To be honest, I’ve groomed my dog before and done a much better job than she did. Maybe she needs to chose a different career path.
