This is the first restaurant I went to that every single item was spectacular. I’m Jamaican so we’re big on flavour. 10//0 we’ll seasoned tasty everything. The service 10/10. My waiter William, superb. My family is picky and they had no complaints. The space is small but gives a homey vibe, I loved it. I’ve never had a better dining experience, and it was my birthday, very well spent! Definitely coming back
Really enjoyed eating here! Decided to book it for our 5th anniversary as a special occasion. Our server was very good and knowledgeable about everything, especially the oysters! The food was amazing, we didn’t order a single thing we didn’t like! The sizes are very generous as well! We ordered dessert and our server brought us 2 with a happy anniversary message which was too kind! Was very impressed all around and will definitely be back
An Absolutely Wonderful Experience We chose La Perla Restaurant to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Alex, our waiter, who acknowledged the occasion for our visit. He immediately returned to our table with 2 glasses of sparkling wine and offered his congratulations. Wow, what an amazing first impression!!! Being new to this restaurant, we were impressed with the wonderful seafood choices on the menu and we were overwhelmed. Alex understood and suggested that he have the chef prepare a delicious sampler arrangement of appetizer fish offerings. What arrived was excellence in seafood served on a wooden board. And that was just the beginning!!! Course after course, each food offering was amazingly prepared and presented. The service offered by Alex, Jacqueline and Cassandra was efficient, knowledgeable, and very friendly and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere; we were not rushed. By the end of the evening, we felt like we were longstanding, favorite patrons of this restaurant. This was our first visit but it won’t be our last. We will be coming back soon. Highly recommended.
What can I say? Pearla was truly a 10/10 meal. Amazing food with fantastic service. The lobster and shrimp linguine is one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in my life. They had a great selection of oysters and the tiramisu was a great ending to the meal. Cassandra really went out of her way to take care of us and my family enjoyed all the dishes she recommended. Thank you for a great time. We will for sure be back soon.
Fairly impressed with food, service was average. Nice restaurant, enjoyable ambience inside with very fresh and tasty selection of oysters albeit garnish options were weak! The chowder and octopus plates were also very good! The mussels were great too however some were still sandy from inside and not cleaned well. The carpaccio was also a bit thinner than expected and not really worth the price. The one opportunity for this restaurant comes from the service which to me was not up to par with what this restaurant strives to be with its price point and decor. Without going into examples of which there were several just lacked some sophistication, professionalism, refinement and authenticity that you get with other finer dining spots at $100 per person avg.
We really wanted oysters . The prices were reasonable and the servings were large . Calamari was cooked to perfection, the oysters were very good and the fish was surprisingly aromatic and very enjoyable . Now to talk about the service. I was very impressed with our servers recommendations and her attentiveness. We actually forgot our cardigan at the table and they tried to contact us to let us no. Highly satisfied and would highly recommend. Can’t wait for our next date night
First let me say I wish I took more pictures of my meal but I was simply living in the moment and completely loving it. Came here for my birthday and my waiter Alex made it such a special occasion. He was very nice and attentive to the the table and always checked in at the right time. The owner is also fantastic. I love how he would check in as well as help staff. It’s overall such a friendly place and feels like home. The food was amazing and the portions were worth the price. I had a fantastic time thank you once again to the amazing staff and fantastic owner for making my special day even better.
This restaurant is beyond words! It's a must-try! All the food is wonderful- the experience itself was spectacular. We had an amazing date night! Our service was on point and prompt - Chloe is a wonderful waitress. We ordered the special - lobster with rice and veggies! Cooked to perfection! The truffle Fries, are fabulous even the dip! The oysters- WOW FRESH and the sides that accompanied wonderful! Its a lively atmosphere- they did have live music upstairs but it was more date night feel downstairs like a cave washrooms are downstairs- clean and tidy. Decor is unique! We dined on a Saturday
I had a great experience at Perla Oyster Bar & Grill! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was also fantastic - the staff were friendly and attentive. I appreciated the European touch to the food and ambiance. It was a nice change from the typical Canadian fare. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant
Good local restaurant for seafood especially oysters! They carry a good variety of east coast oysters, a selected wine menu, and lots of daily chef specials. We didn’t get to try the mains but will be back for that. The staff is friendly, inside is cozy, and the basement dining area is nice for private dinners as well.
