Came here in a group for a late lunch. The restaurant is nice and big with a bakery in the front. The service was very good. The food was good and plentiful. I had a breakfast skillet. My partner had the eggs benedict and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The only issues were the drinks. The coffee was watered down and not strong. Some of us ordered water. 2 of the waters came with what looked like fruitflies in them. The waiter saw us looking at the waters and quickly changed all of our drinks including the pop/soda just to be safe. The sprite that my friend ordered did not taste like sprite. It was more like sparkling water. No sugar whatsoever. He asked for another one and he was met with the same drink. I am not sure if we would go back. But it was a decent meal and the atmosphere there is nice. The service was excellent so maybe we will give it another shot.
You could easily go to Milestones for the prices Perkins is charging now. I ordered a lunch duo, shown below is half a potroast melt and a slice of pie: which was over $20. A high cost for the luxury of a single layer of meat held together between two pieces of bread by a sprinkling of cheese. I considered ordering an appetizer but six mozzarella sticks was over $16. Crazy. Two stars because my partner enjoyed his all-day-breakfast meal.
Well.. I went in on Mothers day, to get the Hungryman special, for my wife. They gave me something else. The manager tries to gaslight me, into thinking its only available in the US. After some haggling, I show him the Canadian menu, and then he makes it right. Meanwhile the food had became cold. He did reward me with a free muffin tho.
Dined in at Perkins twice while in town. Once for breakfast, and the other for dinner. Both times we were greater warmly and taken care of! Portions were large and worth it!
Experienced extremely poor standard of hygiene and quality in the restaurant. Attaching a picture of the coffee mug with lipstick mark and coffee stain served to us today the 25 Aug 2022 morning. Concerned of spreading of contagious diseases especially during covid 19 days. Expect the owners to pay attention to their quality process and improve it.
It was not a good quality coffee, it had a very sour unpleasant taste, the plastic cup was too hot to carry. I asked coffee with milk and I got dark coffee. I was advised to put the milk into the cup myself. I have payed 5 dollar for a coffee and cashier told me to make sure i will leave the table until 8 am. There was not any information like this table is reserved etc. The restaurant was empty, i felt like i am unwanted guest.
I ordered The Everything omelet, hash browns and a coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed it. My brother ordered a Lunch Duo combination. He was going for the half-sandwich and salad. The waiter pointed out that the full-sandwich version was only a dollar more. My brother went for it. He enjoyed his meal. We will be definitely going back again.
I wasn’t expecting a lot because I had been to a Perkins years ago and it was mediocre. When I was asked to meet people here, I went to see them. I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was really good, and I had no trouble getting extra fruit instead of home fries. While it isn’t inexpensive, the meals were generous and half the people took leftovers home for lunch the next day. We all ordered breakfasty food so I’m not sure how their dinners are, but we all enjoyed our food!
The staff members here are so very welcoming, pleasant, and attentive. They make my family feel like we are VIPs. It's probably because we keep going back. A staple family restaurant. Food is made to order, just as you want it, and if ever you aren't satisfied, they go above and beyond to make any changes. Vegetarian options: Several options to choose from the menus. I don’t even want to give a star at all! Perkins is usually a place you can count on for a great breakfast- this location is horrible! The front staff tried to make excuses for the back but the food should not have even been brought out! My husband ordered the chicken biscuits gravy on the side - first order gravy on the biscuits send back wait another 10 minutes for the new order - out comes 2 cold biscuits with a chicken nugget on each and orange processed sliced cheese cold, eggs cold, sausage overdone and cold! It was pathetic! $22 was the cost of this! They told him it was cold because there was no gravy! Needless to say he did not eat it and it was taken off the bill. I’m just in disbelief that they would try to pass that off as food from their menu! I’m sure the company would be appalled if they knew that they were being represented that way!
