i stumbled upon this unique neighbourhood cafe and i was pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and superb customer service. the ambience was nice too with unique decoration. it's a good place to enjoy a weekend afternoon. matcha strawberry latte - i loved this layered drink. the bottom layer is a house-made strawberry puree. the puree is not too sweet and not too sour. it goes well with the matcha and fresh milk. breakfast sandwich - this delicious sandwich contains cheese, greens, egg, pesto, and fresh tomato. it is toasted perfectly. it's the first time i had pesto on a sandwich but i am impressed on how well it goes with the other ingredients. liege waffle - i ordered the liege waffle with chocolate topping. the chocolate topping is house-made. the waffle has a light buttery taste. it's a nice dessert i was so impressed with the food that i ordered extra waffle and breakfast sandwich home for my family. they all loved food at Perchance too.

came to perchance to dine in for the first time in 3 years! a little disappointed they closed the lounge but love it nonetheless : i ordered the matcha strawberry drink as a treat-myself and it's worth the price! the drinks are always so fresh and good! plan to come here for brunch some day :

Super adorable cafe with a wide range of beverages coffee, espresso, matcha, fruit teas, and speciality drinks. We also loved the waffle! Its lightly crispy on the outside, and soft and chewy inside like a Taiwanese Q waffle. Lovely decor, superb service, and quality drinks. Defs a new fav spot in the city!

great drinks! I love the infused milk, especially the lavender flavour. The pearls are super yummy, and the shop is very cute!

Particular cafe in van! Came here for brunch and their waffle, breakfast sandwich, avo toast all tasted great! For coffee I felt it was slightly too bitter for myself but I very much enjoyed the cafe vibe/food. I think the waffle goes very well with maple syrup better than other toppers so it would be awesome if maple syrup was complementary. Lastly, I loved how they have separate cans for recycling Will return for more food later on!

Perchance is located at Dunbar & 17th Ave. I used to live in this neighbourhood, but I have never been here before. I love its refreshing style internal decoration. It is perfect for brunch in weekend or having afternoon tea with friends. I ordered the featured strawberry matcha with pearls and I would give it a 9 out of 10. I can taste the real strawberry and strong matcha flavour in this drink, which gives it a balance of sweetness and sourness. Pearls are warm and soft, which is a big plus to me. Staff here are all very kind and helpful. Such an amazing experience!

Cute little coffee and tea place. A bit pricey but the drinks are delicious so at least you won’t be disappointed. I’ve had oat milk lattes and the strawberry smash with coconut jellies which I enjoyed a lot. They have a cute little study room which will be nice post-social distancing.

THE CUTEST CAFE EVER! My sister and I came to this cafe in Kitsilano, and we LOVED IT~ The cafe is like a little hidden gem that I wish people knew more about! The Caprese bread was a grilled pesto, tomato and cheesey sandwich that was simply so delicious! It was a nice portion that we shared for a light meal. Paired super well with the crema drink I got, thick and creamy cheese foam layered on the roasted green tea - the hojicha tea~ it actually taste even better with some milk I added towards the end My sister liked the fruity pineapple sparkling as well~ it was like a tropical tasting fizzy soda that was super refreshing. Overall, beautiful interior, super relaxing space for study or to chill, great aesthetic, love that they use reusable steel straws too. definitely will come back~ : Caprese Bread - $9.00 Hojicha Créma - $6.50 Pineapple Sparkling - $5.50

I have visited numerous times, and have really been impressed each visit! They use only fresh milk for their bubble tea, and even have oat milk! The flavours are original as well, and not sweet if you don't want. They can also do a salted creme topping. The food is very yummy, fresh and healthy. There are pastries and lunch foods like salad and sandwich. The service is incredible. I always feel welcome and well taken care of. They have even come around and brought us free cake! Love it here, such a gem on dunbar street.
