Easy-level hike with great water views. Semi-friendly encounters possible, but distance always wise; bug spray also smart. Despite being 5 minutes from the north end of I- 787 [& NY-787], it is a mostly convenient, quiet, and tranquil respite
Beautiful open landscape. Fishing. Grills and tables. Trees easy to climb. Picturesque. Friendly birds. Perfect for gatherings.
Nice water views following an easy path around the island. Refreshing experience in the north part of the city.
Nice hike. Not too steep. Also mostly in the shade! Dog friendly must keep dog on their leash would recommend wearing boots, as it is normally muddy or dusty from the dirt.
Lots to love about this park including a surprisingly decent trail through the woods and a huge and well-maintained picnic area. I'm sure in peak season, you may want to consider coming early or bringing your own tent and tables.
Gorgeous landscape, beautiful trails to hike. Chance to see birds and deer, even the occasional pup being walked on the trails.
