Saw a promotion for Peking duck, $65 instead of $82 or something like that so wanted to give it a try… and I also never tried Pearl restaurant here before. We pretty much only order Peking duck so my rating is only based on this dish. When the dish comes out, i don’t think it’s worth this price even at $65 considering I can get similar quality at cheaper price point else where. The duck skin is still very crunchy and the wrap is the kind that feels like thin bread which tasted very good, but not worth this price point though… presentation wise, abit sloppy if u asked me. Not the biggest concerns as food goes into my mouth at the end and taste is most important. Taste wise, it’s not bad when comparing to other Chinese restaurant in TO but not better as well… so the experience is average because of the high asking price.
Very old Cantonese style restaurant in the Bayview Village Mall. They also serves dim sum for the afternoon. This is an authentic chinese restaurant and the taste is good. You can find good chinese food here for sure. Dimsum is also very respectable and tasty. Highly recommended Parking: ample parking in bayview village
This is one of the cases I am really glad I didn't check the rating before going there, and it has just happened! Yes, The food is not as greasy as regular Chinese food, and yes the prices are a bit higher, also the decoration and resturant is nothing special, but I loved the food! Enjoyed it a lot and will repeat it for sure! If you looking for a healthier version of Chinese food here is the place! Strongly recommend it!!!

Food was just ok. My husband and I like to share meals, not for financial reasons but for health reasons and eating less. They were not very receptive to that. The minimum is $20 order but that was fine with us. They brought us a dish that we didn't realize wasn't part of our order and then came and took it away saying this isn't part of your lunch if you want it you'll have to pay for it. We didn't want it, we had just thought it was part of the lunch we ordered. Just not a good vibe in there, manager not friendly once we mentioned sharing a meal. Food not any better than a food court to be honest. Plus an iced tea or soft drink is $5 for a small glass so beware.
Updated review: Has an issue with takeout order ridiculous portion size and the issue was addressed same day. The owner was very communicative and management was kind. Food itself is good, would recommend if you’re in the area! Much better for dine in though!
My aunt and I came in for lunch. The food was alright, but when it came to paying it was the issue. The lady hovered over me while I was making a transaction. Right after, she kept asking for tips. Saying that I need to give her extra cash or another transaction. Did not listen to me when I said no, she kept on pressuring us to tip to the point it was rude. After we gave her a tip, she and her co-worker kept looking over at us until we left.
Mid market pricing and great menu choices! The portion sizes are tremendous, and we always feel that we have great value for the money. Do try the fries rice! And the fried chicken!Food: 5/5
Please avoid coming here if you want to have a good weekend. We had to ask 3 times for napkin that didn't set on our plate. Then I had to ask 2 times for spoon to eat my Mango Pudding. They charge us a dishes that we didn't order but they fixed as soon as we told them. the food was Okay and they wasn't super busy and giving a careless services like that. I will never go back here.
