This is my fave soup dumpling spot in the neighbourhood! I’ve tried other well reviewed spots but I find that I enjoy their dumplings the most because it’s made fresh, it’s tasty and not dry like the others. I’ve also tried their beef brisket noodle soup which is really good as well! I just wish there’s an option to skip on the noodles since I really just like the broth with beef and veggies. Overall, I’m always satisfied with Mom’s Dim Sum, even if it’s for dine in or take out. As an added bonus, the lady at the counter that takes our order is really nice as well!
The price of the soup dumplings and all the other menu was very affordable. It’s not a lot of selection but pretty good 2 pages worth of staples. I honestly feel like they might need another server as it was hard getting the attention of one but overall she was super nice so that made up for it. The food was pretty good and the price definitely made it even better. We got the pork soup dumplings, crab + pork soup dumplings and salt + pepper popcorn chicken! I would definitely go again :
We ordered a “Steamed Bun w/ Bralsed Meat ”. I think they added peanut butter in it, which tasted really good. There are salty pickled veggie and some sweet crumbles in it, which makes the bun flavorful and not boring. The steamed bun itself was really chewy and moist. The overall food was good, but the service could have been more pleasant, since we waited almost 20 minutes in the restaurant for only one item. I would go back again if I’m not in a hurry!
Tried this spot for the first time, even though it’s super close to me. It was phenomenal. From affordable prices, to delicious and fresh food, to prompt and kind service. I cannot wait to come back here. We tried multiple dishes to share, all of which came out to $45 including tax and tip !!! Amazing!. I really loved that they had chili oil at the table Because I always ask for it anywhere I go. The menu had plenty of different options. We ordered… cucumber salad - fresh, sweet, perfect palate cleanser. Chicken potstickers - my #2 contender on the menu- really delicious, fresh, juicy, crispy. Pork soup dumplings - perfect soupyness and delicious fresh filling. Even better with the chili oil. Made fresh to order. Beef brisket noodles - #1 on the menu! Delicious thick noodles, tasted very fresh and perfectly done. Not too doughy and not too raw. The broth was phenomenal. A bit spicy, lots of flavour, beef tasted good too. I could honestly drink a bowl of the broth on its own but I won’t because I love noodles. Shrimp/egg/vermicelli buns - loved the bun but I was getting so full by the time I came around to this. The shrimp was delicious, but I was a bit indifferent to the rest. It was good but I think I could do without it next time, or try the other buns offered to change it up. All in all, I’ll be back here very soon and am happy to support a local business with such great food!
I really enjoyed the dumplings! The soup dumplings and pot stickers were super tasty! The prices are also more affordable too! The chive pancake was an underdog for sure and surprised me with how crispy and delicious it was! The main entree were yummy but lack lustre in comparison to their dumplings. I would pop by for more soup dumplings and chive pancakes for sure!!!!
This restaurant is my go to for the Braised Meat on Rice dish, it's a good portion of food for $11 image included is of this dish. In general, the menu has a good variety of options. Service is acceptable for the most part - it can get busy and there may be only one person taking orders and serving the room. Overall, affordable and lots of options on the menu.
A very unusual find but loved it. If you’re looking for your regular and typical dim sum, go elsewhere. The menu is paired down but the food was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would totally go back again or UberEats, except I live too far from it.
SOOOOO GOOD! I loved everything that I put in my mouth. The taste and portion was very good. Must eat their dim sum, dumpling noodle, and bun! Would probably order and go dine in anytime soon
The dim sum place was okay in terms of the dim-sum that they serve. Not a lot of options. Price is not bad for the location. I suggest that you get the onion pancake, the braised beef with noodles, and the soup dumpling. I also suggest you ask for a Chinese vinegar to dip in your dim sum to neutralize the taste. The lady who served us was nice as well. I recommend you go here if you are in the area.
Delicious dumpling spot with reasonable prices. Staff was friendly. Food states good. My favourite was the braised meat bao that was only $5.
