Used to love this place but not so much tonight. Ordered 2piece fish and chips. I think they forgot the fish? Got nothing but 2 chunks of batter. Very disappointing when you are willing to pay the high prices for fish and chips you should be getting a little more fish.
Im so torn on how to rate this restaurant. The poutine was awesome, tons of gravy and curd and huge. Unfortunately, that single piece of fish was $12. It was incredibly tiny and soooo thin. The taste was really nice but we couldn't help but feel really ripped off. There was barely any fish for $12. Way better places to go for fish. If you just want poutine, this place is nice.
I went today to grab a poutine, like I used to years ago spicy Cajun with the crispies on top just like the old days, I was wondering if it was even an option, so happy , the medium could almost feed 2 see you on Friday
Tonight we tried @P.B's Fish n Chips. I used the search bar in this group to search " thin batter" I went there and told them I had done the search and that I truley want thin batter. They said would you like us to put as little as possible. I said yes. Fast forward. Brought it home and they did not dissappoint with the fish or fries or gravy. All of it tasted fantastic. We still have one container of fries that weren't even touched. I do think the portion size of the fish could be a bit larger not accounting for either batter We have definetly had larger pieces for the same price. Overall I would give it a 4/5, but only because of the fish size, otherwise a 5/5.
Love supporting this place even with the new owners, but the Cajun poutine doesn’t taste like it used to. Loved coming back to the same taste as remembered from elementary school. Rushing down at lunch with just enough time to enjoy, then hurry back with full bellies! Still love the poutines don’t get me wrong. Bring back the flavour!
Not sure what the complaining is about. Ordered the family pack with halibut and everyone was happy, satisfied. You never know with new owners, but it's still the PBs that people have come to love as far as I'm concerned. Will be back for sure!
My family loved this place for poutine and fish. Fabulous food. Would have given 5 stars if they treated their staff better.
We have been going to pbs for 30 years. Tonight it was such a disappointment. Our fries were cooked and recooked several times to the point they were dark brown. Disgusting. The biggest waste of $50.17 I have ever spent. Your response is a joke. How about not recooking and recooking your fries until they are burnt. You knew that they were not edible but you chose to serve them to us anyway. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Everytime I call and place a pick up order.. The owner always messes up and makes it wrong every single time.. I don't get it? He repeat the order back to me to confirm and still makes it wrong. It's not complicated. One regular poutine one Cajun poutine , this has happened a few times now. Twice I went back to get it fixed. I won't be going back if he's working.
I used to love this place. Unfortunately, the new owners are scam artists. Just ordered 3 Halibut 1 chip received some white fish instead. I went back to get the proper order and received some random white fish again. I know the difference! Please do NOT order food from this place. That's hilarious. Your food is poor quality so don't get mad at me. Obviously you don't know fish. How about do some research before you buy a business. Do better.
