"Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation, a registered Canadian charity, is a not-for-profit animal rescue based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are run independently and made up entirely of a dedicated group of volunteers. We work very hard to save dogs and cats in life-threatening situations and give them a second chance at life. We then focus on placing these amazing animals in the right family and creating what we call a “pawsitive match”.We have a team comprised of resourceful, talented, experienced and dedicated individuals with the common goal of saving dogs and cats and giving them that second chance."

Pawsitive Match was fantastic from the get go. They were very thorough in ensuring their animals, in this case a cat, was placed in a proper home. We ended up adopting Sage from them a few months back, and being quite new to the whole process, they were very informative and made sure we understood the whole process. I would absolutely use them again if we look for another fur baby in the future, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new addition to their family.
Love adopting from Pawsitive Match. This is now my second adoption and the process is easy and painless unlike some rescues that makes it hard for people who want to adopt. All pets here are well looked after from the time of intake to the time a forever home is found. I would recommend anyone looking for a furkid to check them out.
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Pawsitive Match. Every single person we encountered was so thoughtful, professional and made the entire process from Fostering to Adoption so smooth. All staff and volunteers went out of their way to make sure we were as prepared as possible. There was always someone who would quickly get back to us with any questions or advice we might ask. Our boy Scooper is already so loved and we continue working with him on any anxiety or behavioral concerns he has with the support and suggestions from the team with Pawsitive Match. Because of them, we were even able to connect with his siblings that he was separated from as a puppy! :
We are so pleased with Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation. We started here as volunteers and recently ended up adopting a fur baby into our family. Pumpkin is an absolute bundle of joy and angel boy!
Great process! They really made sure we knew everything about peepers before adopting her, and they made sure that peepers was going to be a good fit for our family and lifestyle!
First of all, I want to thank this rescue for all the hard and diligent work they do. They are extremely thorough with their adoptions and really make sure it's a right fit. They really showed how much they cared all the way, even up to post adoption and I'm extremely thankful for them. Secondly, I want to thank them for rescuing my best friend in the whole world. The dog I got from them was the most perfect fit and I love this animal with all my heart. I can't wait to spend forever with her. Thank you all for being truly the most thoughtful and caring people.
I find their policies extremely restrictive and do not ensure the pets are placed in a loving home rather they are looking for any reason to not place a pet in a home. I have owned cats all my life and they have all been indoor cats but because they are not “up to date” on their vaccines which by the way my vet has NEVER given me a hard time about my daughter and I did not qualify to adopt. Not only that but they wanted all of my cats vet records. Despite being able to provide several references from other adoption agencies and my vet they still don’t consider me a viable option for one of their pets. Obviously not looking for good loving homes but making judgements based on what they feel is important - vaccines and refusing to consider an application based solely on this is absurd!
I would suggest if you have other animals not to waste your time if you don’t have up to date vaccinations and checkups. I have adopted and taken in multiple cats from AARCS, MEOW foundation and multiple references that our cats are well taken care of and happy, I was looking at getting Harp and due to this they said I wasn’t a good fit. I fell in love with her and now need to part ways due to a rule that is absolutely ridiculous for an indoor cat. After reviewing other reviews regarding this situation I have noticed this isn’t a first and animals are given a chance to be in a loving home due to a rule that makes no sense. Will not be recommending anyone to this organization.
Pawsitive Match is awesome. They work with you to really find the best match. We've rescued a cat and dog from them and both of them have become an easy fit into our family.
This is the best rescue and adoption organization I’ve ever seen. The fostering program is amazing and the way they make sure you’ll be able to care for the pet before you are able to adopt it is so reassuring to me because I know that no animal will go to a bad home here. I adopted a cat from you guys recently and he’s just the way he was described. Thank you for your thorough processing and kind staff and volunteers!!
