Soft open today! Had their strawberry cupcake. Ate like a strawberry shortcake, which was lovely. Cupcakes, cake jars, and other baked goods available. Coffee and juices to accompany no tea at this time. Chic black cafe tables and soft colours for a clean and modern vibe. Haven’t had anything else, but this shop has moved from a ghost kitchen to a front facing bricks and mortar and fully new to the neighbourhood!
Pastel Bakes is definitely one of my go to spots for desserts! I’ve had the chance to work with these lovely people not only once, but TWICE for a bridal shower and 1st birthday party within the same year! And every interaction with them was kind, professional, and accommodating. Highly recommend this place to anybody. Their cakes and cupcakes are so soft and just had the right amount of sweetness. The flavour choices were great and really came out well in the cakes. They were also able to portray my vision/theme in to the cakes and other desserts and work within my budget! All of the guests who had a chance to try them would compliment on how good the desserts tasted, and how good it looked! And it was all thanks to Pastel Bakes! Can’t wait to work with them on my next event
Pastel Bakes did an AMAZING job with our wedding cake!!! Not only did it look absolutely perfect, but tasted even better! Maliha was so quick with emails during the entire process and made coordinating delivery to our venue a breeze. Pastel Bakes was also able to work within our budget, while still given us a very high quality product. They also prepare cupcake tasting boxes for wedding cake orders, which was a fun and delicious way to try some of the unique flavours they offer. Couldn’t recommend this small business enough - thank you so much Pastel Bakes!!!
The best cupcakes I had in the longest time. Oh my god, so freaking delicious! Kudos to the pastry chef! Each bit is a short trip to heaven. You can clearly taste the amount of love and effort put into making these. Also, if you are lucky you could grab a good deal on ‘Too Good To Go’.
Absolutely thrilled with the service and cake I received from Pastel bakes!! Looked for a vegan cake last minute and happened to find one at this lovely bakery!! They were able to customize it to my taste and add some personalization for the birthday festivities! Thank you so much, the cake tasted delicious and was a hit!
Believe the hype! I had booked dinner for my wife for her birthday and picked up her cake at curbside en route to the yorkville restaurant we were headed to. The cake box itself was worth the purchase but the cake was a perfect balance of beauty and flavor. We got the chocolate mousse and found it was delicate but not too sweet as many cakes can be. My wife loved it and insisted on having the leftovers for breakfast. I highly recommend!
Maliha and the team at Pastel Bakes made the prettiest birthday cake I've ever seen! They are professional and the designs they have are modern and elegant. The cake itself was delicious and the filling was generous without being sickeningly sweet. They also made a custom topper which was the "cherry on top." I look forward to ordering more cakes from them!
Looking for custom cakes? You’ve come to the right page. I found Pastel Bakes via Uber eats. I had ordered some sweet jars from there and fell in love with it. Landed on their website, and found that they also do custom cakes in some unique spectacular flavours. I reached out to them, gave a brief on what I had in mind, let them know I would love a fresh fruit element and some macaroons. Fast forward, I got this amazing piece of art. No doubts, this is the place you want to get your next cake from. Worth it.
Matcha latte tasted great, however, I got 2 cupcakes strawberry lime and red velvet and they both tasted very dry and hard. Icing/frosting on both were delicious. Otherwise, the place had a nice aesthetic and the person who served us was very friendly.
Great service and cake order! I placed my order late on Thursday night and was able to pick up for an event on Saturday, a much faster turn around than other places I looked at. It was very cleanly lines for the decorations and I loved the simple look, it also tasted great. Will order again soon! I forgot to take a photo of the cake by itself
