It’s a nice view depending on which way you sit you either look at a bridge if your looking out the other side nice view. So I was the only person in the restaurant so I guess service wasn’t to par I did sit for a while before anyone realized I was even there. Breakfast itself was ok they say about maple bacon but I personally didn’t taste any otherwise yeah it was breakfast the view was pleasant.
One of the best views for breakfast overlooking the river. I had a traditional breakfast with peameal bacon and my fiancee had the pancakes. The service was slow with mistakes and we could tell the waitress was struggling a little. We didn't get water or milk for tea after asking but we did get milk brought by a another women after asking again, but never any water. I had asked for eggs sunny side up but received scrambled instead. The home fries have no seasoning so if you like plain potatoes that would be okay but flavour is preferred for me. The restaurant has gotten busier so we can take that into account. This could be a great spot but needs some really minor adjustments to set it off. We also frequently heard customers complain about the A/C turning on full blast. Many left to get sweaters. I'd recommend they add redirectors onto their vents to have the air current blow upwards instead of directly onto their customers. Overall a little disappointing for breakfast but we have had dinner here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking: No issues with parking as there is a large lot onsite for the hotel. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly access for hotel, restaurant and convenience store.
The breakfast menu is simple but good and quality of the food on it was good. The staff were friendly and polite and it had a classic diner feel. The interior could use some minor updates but overall it was clean and ready for service.
Just went for breakfast, the meal itself was good, although the home fries were extra crispy. The decor is horrendous. It's in such need of renovations. They have a good location overlooking the water. The service also needs work. Overall, I'd keep looking if your looking for a breakfast spot in town.
Ordered take out smoked meat platters for my moms birthday dinner and everything was delicious and ready on time. Specifically, the ribs and brisket were a bit hit. Coleslaw didn’t get a lot of love but that’s ok. The ladies who waited on us and packed up our order were very friendly. Would order from here again.
This place doesn't get enough credit! Yes the decor is dated and all, but there food is so good! All of the meat is smoked, and so tasty. We went for breakfast for the first time and the eggs Benedict was the best I've had in town. The hollandaise was so good. Definitely recommend, don't let the appearance fool you! 5
These guys are wonderful, genuine people who get the job done right and go the extra mile. Went here on two separate occasions and everything was perfect. Their vegetarian lasagna is amazing. Their food is served fresh and hot- and the gorgeous view definitely doesn't hurt. :
Laura and staff were great! We went for Thanksgiving dinner have to say everything exceeded our expectations. Portions were correct, presentation was high end, soup/salad, main course with a wonderful desert bar that featured amongst an array of 1st class desserts a bread pudding with anglaise that was bang on. The chef nailed perfection with the entire meal. Fast, friendly, and professional. All for only $35.00! I'll be reserving for next year. Many thanks for a great experience. T
Have only ever been there for breakfast. Food has gotten better in the last few years since the new owner's. The prices aren't cheap, but seem to be the going prices as other places and you do get your dollars worth. As I don't eat potatoes, the waitress asked if I would like a fruit bowl instead which was a nice surprise and well enjoyed. Waitress wasn't overly attentive, but did come by occasionally to check on coffee, needs etc. The only thing that would make this a better place would be to update the eating area with the river view which is old and has been the same decor since the 80's/90's. Also get rid of that ugly window interrupting that view. Customers should get a discount if they have to sit at that table.
I have eaten at this restaurant over a dozen times, spread out between breakfast and dinner. For breakfast, get something with bacon! They cure their own bacon and it's amazing! Everything they serve is fresh and that is reflected in the taste. Eggs benny is one of my breakfast favorites. For dinner I recommend the wings. Big, plump, juicy and a little different. Everything they serve is good. Prices are fair especially when you consider the quality of the ingredients. A great place to go for special events such as Mother's Day.
