Went for the Mother’s Day prix fix brunch. Fantastic food and great value. For $35 each you received family style charcuterie board, assorted pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Great atmosphere and decor. We will definitely be back to check out the dinner menu.
Excellent atmosphere! Excellent service! Excellent view! Excellent quality! Fantastic food! Absolutely no complaints whatsoever! We stumbled across this gem very randomly and shall be returning regularly! Thank you Basilico Vegetarian options: Very good mix of options to please any palette... Kid-friendliness: Open and friendly atmosphere plus plenty of space between tables... Kids are most certainly welcome! Parking: Not a huge parking lot, but there is plenty of space on the adjacent street too.
Service was really polished, the food was an elevated take on traditional Italian and really creative, and the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. The weather wasn’t conducive to sitting out on the patio, but that’s where the views are. It was a bit pricey, but given the average pricing in the area is a bit higher and the quality of the meal was exceptional I think it was justified. Vegetarian options: There weren’t a plethora of vegetarian options, but I had a stuffed squash that was incredible. I appreciate when the vegetarian selection is something seasonal, shows it’s rotating and there will be something new if I come back. Surprised none of the pastas or pizzas were vegetarian but I imagine they would have accommodated if I asked.
The food was very good. We had 3 appetizers and drinks and we all had pasta dishes which were good. I was very disappointed in a couple things. When I called I asked specifically for the patio; it was a birthday celebration and was told they definitely had a spot outside. I was very clear that we wanted patio as it was It was one of the main reasons I booked here. She said they would also have a spot inside because there was a chance of rain. My children and their partners drove 2.5 hours to be with us and when we got there the waitress , who was the one who booked us said she had us inside and could not change. This was disappointing. Also she did not clear the table of used dishes as we switched courses and had to be asked to clear the table.
Riley and his team threw us a great wedding brunch. They have a new renovated space on the second floor which is perfect! As well as recommending a few choices for the menu, he made it so easy by coordinating with a couple local vendors on our behalf He had some really thoughtful touches like freezing the cake for us and lending us the knife that he cut his own wedding cake with. It was perfect
We stayed at the Inn at the Falls and went over for dinner. The location, atmosphere and live music where great. Our server Natasha was super sweet. We had the peach antipasto, rose and prawns and the Alfredo - so tasty! management and staff are attentive and very helpful. We’re from out of town but will for sure be back!!
Excellent! I booked a reservation for my parents and aunt and uncle to celebrate my parents anniversary and birthdays and we wanted to pay for their dinner and live three hours away from Bracebridge. NO problem. They took my information, called after the dinner to confirm the cost and were helpful, polite and friendly. And the food, I am told was fantastic. We will be back for dinner when we are back up north. Thank you!!!
The food was good, bordering on great; when it arrived. Our server was indifferent at best. It was a busy dinner, but there seemed to be enough staff on to handle the volume. I overheard the manager tell the table beside us that the kitchen was slow due to being understaffed. I can sympathize, but our server offered no explanation, did no quality checks, and took 25 minutes to get our initial drinks. I am a local resident and I was so excited to have a higher-end dining option, but I can not recommend Basilico until they address the disappointing service and speed.
Excellent food in a beautiful rooms during any season. Patio is amazing and winter is warm and cozy inside. What really shines here is the polished service from all the staff. In particular Natasha who gracefully handled our party of 10 along with all the other tables in the restaurant while bartending too! Very accommodating.
We enjoyed our delicious dinner at the patio. We were 4 adults and 2 small children. The views were spectacular, service attentive and food wonderful. It was a five star experience and we will return for sure during our next visit to Bracebridge!
