Don't know how they can call themselves authentic Italian. The pizza wasn't even thin crust or wood oven, seemed generic and the taste was mediocre. Overloaded with generic cheese and crust was soggy. Pasta was 'OK'. Nice location and ambiance but food not the best for the price. Expensive. It was a take out order.Food: 2/5
One of the highest value for money restaurants in Montréal. Lunch menu is insanely cheap and yet the food tastes great. I had several different meals on different occasions and never got disappointed. It is next to Lachine canal and on a sunny day outside sitting is perfect to enjoy the view.
We had the table d'hôte menu. Everything was good. Good food, good service and the weather was beautiful.
We all had different pasta dishes - I wasn’t very impressed with mine. The location and building is good overlooking the water. Had a problem with wasps which they tried to deal with the best they could.
This restaurant is much bigger from interior than you can see from exterior. Good ambiance. Good satisfying food at a friendly price. Ask for the Table d'hôte, 20$ to 25$ including soup/salad, tea-coffee and dessert. Recommended.Food: 5/5
Absolutely appalling service. Went there for dinner with a reservation four adults with a 1 year old child. We all waited at the front for almost 15 minutes while servers walked by and did not acknowledge us or tell us that someone would be with us shortly. Finally someone came over and seemed shocked that we had a reservation. This staff member left and then got on the phone for another 15 minutes while we continued to stand and wait in the front. Finally 30 minutes after arriving we sat down at the table. The food was good. No complaints there. We had to flag down the server on a number of occasions to ask for simple things like - napkins or more water. We waited nearly 30 minutes after our meal was done and still no one came to the table to offer the dessert menu. Finally, I walked up to the front and found our server drinking coffee and I asked our server if we could please see the dessert menu. We had asked the server to pack up our leftovers to take home. The server returned with the pasta in a to-go box. We asked where the pizza was and the server apologized and said they threw it out, and didn't realize we wanted it. After dessert was finished and our plates clean we again waited nearly 30 minutes for anyone to come and give us the bill. I had to leave the table and again find the server to ask for our bill. For the entirety of this awful experience they gave us the dessert for free. We just moved to Lachine, and I would truly never go back to this restaurant because of how terrible the service was collectively. Not just one server but the entire staff - from the moment we walked in being ignored by multiple staff without so much as a "hello, someone will be with your shortly," the rude staff who seated us, and the absent server at dinner, and the measly offer of free dessert for the entire experience a quarter of our pizza thrown out.
Really disappointing experience. The food was very bland, ambiance is non-existent and there were multiple cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling. We had two pasta dishes and both lacked flavor, the bruschetta they give you to start was extremely salty. Would not return.
The waiters were very nice! The downstairs room we reserved was lovely and perfect for our 30 people. We were allowed to decorate. We had sangria, wine and beer provided, can’t bring your own. Parking sucks! The menu table d’hôte only for group was not elaborate enough, choices too limited and price was a bit much 50$ + txs. The waiters were helpful and tried to accommodate as much as possible. The food was very good and tasty. The dessert was actually a full cake with candles and song for our celebrated guest, which was a surprise for all of us. * phones go a little berzerk in the basement
The setting right across the lake is the big star followed by great service and good and reasonably priced dishes. Sometimes more creative and tasty others very generic Italian.Food: 4/5
40 minutes to take orders.. another 40 minutes to be served; incl. having to ask for another bottle of wine, rather than being asked/ offered, etc., and later, another 45 minute for the bill.. correction .. had to go and you guessed it.. ask myself. Food ‘meh’ bruschetta: half toasted, minimal topping, veal: hardly appealing, chicken: dry, pasta: bland; Price /value ´double meh’ Service - not a recipe for a successful dinner, or a repeat experience. Needs improvement .. in a NUMBER of areas.
