Passport Office Canada

I went on Monday to renew a passport and the secuirty guard, a wonderful lady who was there before the doors opened was absolutely amazing. She greeted everyone, she talked and made jokes and made everyone laugh. We are all stressed when we go to these things, waiting in line early, its cold and rainy but she really made the experience fun. She organized the lines and she just kept making everyone laugh. Its really rare to see a governement employee like this - I hope she stays there for a long time and gets a promotion!

Excellent service received today at this location. I went to renew my passport. I was in and out in about 35 minutes, without an appointment. The agent that took care of my application smiled throughout all our interactions. We started speaking in French, but she switched to English when she saw that my application was in English. She explained clearly everything and I will get my passport in 2 weeks. Pleasantly surprised overall by the delays and the quality of the service!

I visited Service Canada to retrieve some forms. I saw 2 police officers, a lady who seemed more approachable, and a young man who didn't seem to like his job there. I asked him a question in French about a form, he answered he knows it in English, so l carried on in English telling him l'm fluent in English too, guess what? He didn't know! Don't bother asking him anything!nnI spoke to 2 agents in the reception. I can only say one was incompetent/ignorant and the other was knowledgeable but messy. Doesn't sound goodnnWill update this review when l go back there if l go there with filled forms. I might go somewhere else.nnUpdate: l went back here to submit my application without an appointment. I thought l was the first to arrive at 8am buy oh God there were already 20 people there in line, l added a pic. The police lady a nice one divided us into 4 groups, pasdport application with or without RDV / passport pick-up, and biometrics. At 8:30 we went in line inside in different rows and it was pretty fast, l mean within 20-25mnts l passed. I thought that it wasn't necessary to come early. Coming at 8:30 would have been ok! So overall = satisfied. Precision that was in Feb 2025. The passport is to be received at home within 2 weeks. But, for safety measures, it might be sent to a close postoffice so you can pick it up there.nnI change my review from 2 to 4 stars

These are the most professional government employees you would meet. Special shout out to Adonai and Jesse. I came at 10am and got attended to before 11am without an appointment. This is the best service I have gotten in recent years. I am so happy and I can still go back to work in record time. This office exceeded my expectations. Thank you team

Summer 2022 Experiencenunprecedented surge in Passport applicationsnnSlept on the sidewalk during a severe thunderstorm. The service was pretty fast and smooth once I entered the office. If you have all your paperwork ready it takes less than 10 minutes to apply for your passport and get a pick-up date. You don’t have to wait in line to pick up your passport.nnMy experience with the staff was great. They are nice and accommodating. Everyone welcomed me with a smile and answered all my questions with great patience. Don’t argue with them. They are willing to help you. I heard people say mean/offensive things to the employees. It’s very disrespectful to demean another person publicly. We must treat everyone with respect.nnI understand that this situation is frustrating but instead of harassing the worker bees let’s voice our concerns to the government officials that YOU voted to parliament. They have the real power to change the system.nnNotes:n1. I went at 7pm on Monday and there were already 150 people in line waiting for the office to open at 8:30am on Tuesday. By 3am on Monday, there were approximately 300 people waiting in line.n2. Listen to the announcements carefully, they tend to give out appointments to people in line who are travelling after 4 days.n3. At night, you can leave your chair in the line and sleep in your car. No one will take your spot be friendly with the people around you.nnGood luck everyone!
