I took my son last night. Awful experience. I had sent him to ask the lady a question. I was just around the corner. She was extremely rude and belittling to him. He continued to be polite and apologized. As I went to tell him there was nothing to apologize for she started really raising her voice. She's an older woman. As soon as she saw me she completely changed her tune. Then we watched what I believe is the manager or owner talking down to her mother who is also an employee. As my son went to try on his costume as every other store allows I asked the young girl specifically for the mask as it was an adult costume and we needed to make sure it fit. As she got it out the older woman came by and completely snapped on her and scolding her about how she should never do that and how customers don't get to see the accessories. She rolled her eyes and snatched it from my son's hand. We decided it was enough and we'd go elsewhere. On the way out the manager lady was being very rude to a customer because they decided not to buy something. The lady followed me out saying how she's been there 3 times now and each time the senior staff were very rude but this last time takes the cake and she won't every return. That makes two of us. Side note, we not only got the same costume up the road but for $20 cheaper and it came with a ton more! They also encouraged you to try on accessories and make sure it was all there too.
Awful experience! Went in to shop for my son's costume and support local as that's all they ever talk about. I went to look for someone to help us and I received a nasty look as clearly it was more important to talk between staff then help a customer. Someone finally came after 10 minutes!!! I told my son let's go somewhere else. I was so happy to find another Halloween store 1 minute away. The staff made my son's day and the prices were way better. Spirit Halloween for the win!!!
The blonde girl working behind the ballon counter today around 12:30 was rude. Stood there for a good few min while she blatantly ignored me. I understand if you are busy with a task but perhaps acknowledge your customer? She acted annoyed at the questions I asked. Sorry I need to buy balloons? Maybe get another job if you hate this one? Definitely won’t be returning here.
I recently visited this place and bought some birthday balloons I found its price were quite higher and staff weren’t helpful either, Most importantly the big balloons got half empty after a few hrs. I would say Walmart and Canadian tire r better option for next time.
I placed an order for grad celebration for my daughter and couldn’t pick it up on Saturday without realizing they are closed on Sunday, when I needed the items. On Sunday, I messaged them via Messenger and Natalie arranged for Kiersten to come open the store for me to be able to pick up my order. I am blown away by the lengths they went for my $40 order. This is a local, family owned business and as we all know, these pandemic times are not easy especially for small businesses. I make an effort to try to give my business to such places and ask everyone to consider that. Exceptional customer service is always a welcome bonus. Natalie and Kiersten - I can’t thank you enough for taking the time on your day off.
Honestly great store, the staff is so friendly, Betty was great, helped me find what i needed and even pitched me different ideas to make the birthday even more memorable. Strongly recommended.
This was by far the best place for HALLOWEEN stuff. Best stuff, all sorts of everything. We found a ton of great stuff here and were super happy with the friendly staff.
Although there is a year round Halloween section we had to seek manager input to be able to enter it and browse. There were two young staff members present and only one or two other people in the store. We begrudgingly were allowed to browse the Halloween department.
Terrible! We bought helium balloons for our daughter's first birthday party. Not only were they outrageously priced but they were lying on the floor the day after we bought them! I'm not sure if the helium was old or if it was mixed with air to save them money but it was infuriating after paying those prices. More importantly our daughter didn't get to enjoy them at her party! The store is messy, disorganized and the merchandise is subpar. The staff were miserable and not helpful at all. A very disappointing experience, save your money and buy your party supplies elsewhere.
This party store hasnt seen a party in a long time. Dark and dingy, unorganized shelves and pegs, merch looks decades old, absolutely no pride put into this store. Staff are long faced and have to be hunted down. Destined to close unfortunately
