Visiting townand this was our first dinner out from recommendations in a tour guide. It was busy when we arrived but still got a table. We ordered the duck and steak entree specials. We received two duck plates. The server was confused and took one back saying she must have grabbed the wrong one. I waited to dig in but my partner said to go ahead. Seconds took minutes and it became uncomfortable. No one came out to give an update. 10 mins later which seemed much longer the steak plate was served. It was steaming hot so definitely it was fresh made. I wish I had ordered the steak! It looked and tasted far better. The duck was tough and chewy. Embarrassing when you have to pull pieces out of your mouth. The risotto was not done...very grainy. The steak was tender and a little more rare than medium rare but it was tasty and a great portion. In the end the original waitress collected our bill when she told us she removed our ice teas for the mix up. That was an appreciated gesture. Our bill came to $80 without beverages. That is near $40 an entree! I was surprised and for what it was I would have expected a lot more.
Part II Bistro catered our wedding earlier this year - the food was incredible and we honestly can't thank them enough! Peter was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating to our requests and dietary needs. From planning the menu, to our tasting, to the day off - everything went so smoothly. The food was absolutely amazing, everyone LOVED their meal and people are still raving about it. The serving staff was awesome too! We highly recommend Part II Bistro. We attended their restaurant for our wedding tasting and it is a lovely environment! We truly can't wait to go back.
I have just have the most amazing perogies at Part 2 Bistro. The pulled pork on the heavenly pillows of potatoes is unreal. You should make a run on this place for sure. My wife had the crab cakes and they were extremely good as well. Tons of crab flavour and moist. Seriously you need to try this place. Great interior and very pleasant staff. Parking: Lots of parking available.
The best service and food in town. Met the owners too and they treated us like gold. Being from out of town, they treated us like family.
Peter and his team at Part II catered our wedding last weekend. They did an outstanding job and the food was amazing. They were all very friendly and professional and made the whole process seem easy; not once in the night did I worry about the flow of the food or service. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for someone to cater an event or a go to place for beautiful dinner!
First time we've been here and have to say the food was excellent. Very simple menu with plenty of options. I had the escargot to start followed by the Beer Bourguignon Pasta. My wife had the pear salad best she has ever had followed by the Sacchietti Pasta. Outstanding! I wanted dessert but had no room. Good excuse to come back and try out other items on the menu!
I ate here last summer for the first time as they have vegetarian options and I was with a vegetarian. The food then was yummy. So, naturally, i decided that on my birthday while on a solo trip of self pampering, i decided to stop in. I had the pear salad with shredded chicken I have to have it shredded . Just as it was last year, it was delicious. Dessert was coconut arancini balls. I had them last year and I love them so much! I had a virgin drink of lime and pineapple juices in a glass rimmed in salt and coconut. I will be back when I return to Goderich next year.
4 is more realistic. I had the seafood pasta and it’s probably the worst I have ever had. The seafood was Un recognizable . The whole pieces I did pick out looked and tasted more like chicken. No scallop or shrimp could I identify. The pear salad was very good.
Our favourite restaurant in Goderich. The food is always so good- the beef tips are to die for! I tend to rave about them. Pricing is fair for such a nice restaurant, we always have a great time here.Food: 5/5
Very disappointed in this place. To be fair, they have delicious vegetarian options on the menu but it seems the staff lack greatly in hospitality and don't want to work. My friend and I walked in to enjoy a meal as I had gone there last year and enjoyed the food thoroughly. Over the months, we have tried to eat there twice and both times we were turned away being told they were fully booked despite the establishment being open, mostly empty one table seated and staffed. Four tables had reserved signs on them. I asked if they were social distancing in their restaurant as there were many tables that didn't have reserved signs. They said no, that they were short staffed. There were at least three staff members there - two standing around and at least one in the back. They certainly were not busy yet on the rainy day and could have accommodated us as no others were arriving and the town was pretty quiet on the street. We asked if we should make reservations in the future as we drove hours to visit the town and were looking forward to enjoying a delicious meal there. They said that reservations are not necessary. Hmmmm... We asked if they would do takeout and they thought about it and then said yes but we can't order most beverages as they don't have takeout cups, then suggested we take cans of beer or cider to go - odd suggestion considering it's illegal to drink alcohol in public places or in vehicles. I said no thank you to that suggestion. If you are willing to do takeout, why not let two people sit in the empty room with mostly non-reserved tables before the alleged rush? We simply wanted to nourish ourselves before our long drive home. We decided the poor treatment wasn't worth it and drove to a restaurant who knows how to be hospitable. This establishment definitely needs to sharpen their hospitality skills. Maybe they're just having a bad day... SO... Next time I'm in town if they let us eat there, I will happily revise this review to be fair as my first time there was 5 star.
