Parkbus is the perfect option when you live in a city, prefer not to own a car, but still want to get out into nature! Me and my 10-yr-old son had three wonderful Parkbus trips so far - despite my son's travelling with a wheelchair! I just added a note when I booked a tickets, and taking the wheelchair was not problem. All bus drivers were very helpful and considerate to handle it with care. Parkbus staff was very supportive and kind with regard to all questions I had, and were very quick to respond. So this is a very inclusive way of getting out of the city, and I am really grateful it exists. Thank you for the good work!

Parkbus is an incredible not-for-profit startup run by enthusiastic and caring people who want to help promote the beauty and wonder that is Canada and its beautiful camping areas. We've been on several trips together, and are looking forward to many more this year. Super easy to book online and very much affordable for us city-slicker types without vehicles. Don't hesitate, get on board.

Parkbus is a great initiative that I highly recommend to anyone who would like to visit parks in Ontario such as Algonquin, Bruce Peninsula, Killarney, etc. I have used Parkbus on two separate occasions to Algonquin and Bruce Peninsula. There are three stops in Toronto (including one downtown - there are buses that also leave from Ottawa to some of the parks) and the bus leaves you at various locations in the park depending on where you want to go. On both occasions, I was dropped off exactly at the camping ground and had to walk at most 300 metres to get to my campsite. Everything is well organized and the service runs on time. The buses are clean and make a stop on the way to the park. The schedule is perfect for weekend trips during which you can stay one or two nights at a park. However, you can also buy a one way and stay as long as you want. You can then purchase a return ticket at a later date. Parkbus offers the opportunity to volunteer with them (which I have done) and it even does a raffle on some occasions to provide free park maps, t-shirts and energy bars. The concept of Parkbus is socially and environmentally conscious. It operates on a non-profit basis and provides safe and reliable transportation for everyone. It avoids the need to drive, rent a car, pay for gas and parking. It also offers discounts to students and seniors. Overall it is a great service that I recommend to anyone. Personally, I would much rather take Parkbus than rent a car.

I am very excited to be the first review for Parkbus! This is a fantastic one of a kind service that connects city dwellers with the Canadian great outdoors. I have used Parkbus on many different occasions and always found the volunteer staff to be extremely polite and helpful. One thing is for sure, after throwing my bags on a bus and waking up at a campsite, I won't be going back to a car any time soon!

Oh man, do I ever remember the times before Parkbus! Back in those days it cost twice as much, took twice as long get get up to Algonquin and involved long layovers mid-route. Not only is Parkbus fast, affordable and comfortable, but the trip both to and from the park is a great experience. On the way up you can get all the advice you could possibly want for your upcoming trip, and on the way back it's really fun swapping stories from your adventures with your fellow paddlers/backpackers :D
