One of the most beautiful places I've seen on earth. Loved the landscape with high tide and low tide. The rock formations were stunning climbing along the cliffs. Breath taking. Made me love Quebec. This is a must visit, a true gem. So clean as well. Full of herons and seals!
Parc National du Bic is so beautiful it completely surprised us! Far exceeded our expectations, this park offers a great view of the St-Lawrence river coastline, along with its fauna. We walked half the Grand Tour, due to rising tides part of the trail was submerged in water by the time we got to the tip, but only because we spent too much time appreciating the magnificent coastline. We met an adorable little red fox on the beach too, he was not afraid of any visitors, and I was glad to see that everyone stayed calm and respectful of the animal’s natural habitat. You can also rent a bike and cycle through the grand tour, but bikes cannot go on any beaches. Best way to fully appreciate this beauty is check the tides schedule and start early, but take your time to stop and breath the fresh air and watch some clouds over the horizon. One can easily spent a day just gazing the waves and clouds here. Highly recommend!
Bic is a great park for all that you want to do int he beautiful outdoors along the southern side of the St Lawrence river. Hiking and Biking are tremendous and the beach is nice to, with a nice snack stand and rentals. The Programs offer are excellent, the staff being extremely knowledgeable. The views are to die for! Here's a REALLY FUN ACTIVITY THAT GOES UNADVERTISED: When the tide goes out, you can walk and and explore the BOTTOM of the Saint Lawrence river -- very cool! Bic is a fairly small park and it gets quite crowded, so if you are planning to go, get your reservations early to camp there. If you are just stopping by, do it early in the day.
Gorgeous park, one of the most spectacular SEPAQ has to offer. The hiking trails are well marked and easy to access. Hikes themselves range from easy to challenging, with many options for each level. Depending on the tide level, not all sectors of the park are accessible all the time; worth checking with park guides if you have a particular trail in mind as you may need to time your departure/return accordingly. Haven't explored their water options but those also looked beautiful. Solid footwear is key because the rocks can be slippery, sharp, and making footing a challenge. The Bic is an amazing place to visit!
Make sure you read ahead if coming through with a dog as there is only one trail you can do pic Champlain 6km roughly. Very strict on pets, won't allow you to even drive through the park or enter from the main entrance. Trail was still gorgeous and the park looks amazing. Will definitely come back and leave the dog at home. Restrooms: Restrooms available in parking lot and by lookout on Champlain hike. Dog-friendliness: Only on one trail, otherwise not a dog friendly park.
Exceptional scenery. Bic is a unique national park. Wildlife is really abundant and we were lucky to see a fox. Other visitors saw a group of seals. Camping there in a yurt was a great experience too.
A must go, in Qc. It's stunning!! There are a lot of hiking trails that probably takes a week to try them all. There's the sea, the beach, the mountains, rock, sand, tree, all in one place. The camping site is also good.
Amazing park. Nice hiking and biking trails. I would highly recommend renting the bikes for 4 hours and spending time at various points along the trails. Also, the view of sunset at the Champlain Peak Lookout point was heavenly. Wonderful place.
Finally got to visit the parc. The description of the material about the parc pales in comparison to the real deal. From the friendly staff from the gates, welcome center and park rangers, to the breathtaking beauty of nature—all these enchanted us so much, that we added a day to our plan stay. The trails were amazing, especially the Le Grand Tour. The wild terrain, walking on the ocean floor and the fog have formed everlasting memories. Île aux Amours was another unforgetable experience. I am sure we will be back, as there are more trails we can explore... Restrooms: We were impressed how clean the restrooms were: in campsite and on trails! Bravo!
First time and not the last. Everything about this trail to get to the rock is amazing. I prefer bad weather for my hike and boy was I lucky. It gave to the whole place a special ambiance that I'll wish to experience every time I get back there.
