Food Taste 1/5 Quality of Food 1/5 Service from waitress 5/5 Rice was mushy and over cooked. The Corn Masa was good but the pork lacked any kind of flavor. Taco was boring no flavor in the beef mixture. Table salsa tasted like most of the ingredients came out of a can. Noticed pickled jalapeños in the salsa. The tomatoes and onion didn’t seem fresh. The chips were hot and seemed fresh. The waitress that served our water and chips was super friendly and nice. The only positive thing I can say is that the waitress’ here have good customer service skills.
Portions were ok. I've had better...Here! It was close to 1+ hours from closing tho, so they may have started to wrap things up in the kitchen. We felt as though the meals weren't as flavorful as we're accustomed to ...Here. It's been a couple years since I've been in and can't imagine the brothers directing the staff to do this BUT; Perhaps they toned it down recently for us 'whiteys', but some of us go with "some like it hot"! My wife stated it to me first, that she felt her dish was 'bland' and she is quite a bit less tolerant of heat {spice} than I am, but she felt her plate lacked that... flavor. Our guest, hadn't been here before and he dines out MUCH MORE than we do, especially since the Covid scare began, so I felt bad for steering him toward a somewhat lackluster dining experience. We won't avoid returning, but Paraiso's has fallen back a place or two in the running of choices between places to dine. *on an Up note, the restroom, the mens anyways, was very well decorated. Someone sure Loves their Kittys! Maybe dogs too! Parking: Plenty of parking right in front, Some overflow for busier times. Easy handicapped access.
First time here. My friend took me. The food was outstanding and very good portions. My favorite part was the bartender. He had a wonderful selection of Tequila. Also very knowledgeable. Everyone was super friendly. Service was on point. I will be back
Edit: still a very disappointing experience. Burrito was not good and tasted very watery inside. They still try to give you pico when you sit down, I asked if it was extra and I declined it. I saw the waiter set down two others on tables and not mention an extra charge. A person in my party asked if they give a military discount to the lady refilling drinks, she said yes and I heard her tell our waiter. The bill came and when asked about it he just said no. We paid cash but we're still charged the card fee. Not worth asking him for a new bill. Not friendly service at all. I do not want to come here again. Disappointing experience. When first seated they will bring you chips and as they're setting a small saucer of pico on your table they'll ask if you want it so I said sure. At the end they add over $3 on to your bill for it. There was no mention of a charge when they pur it on your table. It would have felt weird to say no and make them take it back to the kitchen so you just kind of agree without knowing they are going to be charging. It thought it came with it because it came out with the chips and we didn't order it. It seemed very back handed and shady. They also have a bunch of candy up by the register and charge $1 for a sucker. They add 3.7% on to your total for using a credit card. There is no mention of this except for a small sign near the register. It took a very long time to pay. Food was okay but everything else was so disappointing.
They conveniently do not show the price for drinks in the menu. Who charges $17.5 for a margarita in a $ restaurant? Also they charge $2.5 extra if you are paying by credit card. They serve good sarcasm when they say see you again tomorrow at the end. Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options but very pricey
The food was okay. We felt rushed, sat down and asked 3 times if we were ready to order within a few minutes. Provided picadigaio with hot seeds & chips, charged, asked for some without the hot seeds, charged again. No time to order, ordered the soup, a pile of chicken & not so fresh clump of vegetables. The other people in our group also commented with okay food. No water or coffee refills. Rushed to clear our table. It was not busy. The tip started at 25 percent. Bill for 3, no alcoholic drinks, 1 coffee, about 60+ without the tip. Pros: It looked clean. Authentic, decore and music. Pleasant staff. Overall, would not return. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options with cheese, but not dairy free.
I had the camarones de la creama for the first time and it was delicious! My boyfriend got the birrias tacos and they were amazing as well. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend!
For many years, we thought Paraiso was the best Mexican food around Marysville. We recommended it to all our friends and family. After having a few disappointing meals, we took a break and hadn't been back for a couple years. Thought we'd give it another go, so I got my kids and grandkids together for my birthday dinner last week and we were not pleased. The waiter couldn't get our order straight, brought the wrong food, and then made my 5 year old grandson wait until the meal was half over to be served his mini corndogs and fries. You can imagine how well that went over, making a child wait for their food while everyone else chowed down. My seafood chimichunga, now 20 bucks, was tasteless and the salsa was watered down. I am truly disappointed. We won't be back anytime soon
This place is family owned. And it's wonderful!!! The chips are delicious! Their Pico de gallo is a staple that you must try!!! I'd reccomend the Pollo al carbon, there's no other like it anywhere nearby!Food: 5/5
First time here. Probably wont be back. Pico offered when you sit down is not complimentary. $3.08. All entrees are about $20 each, no lunch specials. Didn't give rice and beans included in meal. Waitress misquoted me on queso, said it was 5 or 6. It was $8.99. Also charged me for additional tortillas 4 small tortillas for $3.08. One mocajete no rice and beans, Pico, queso, tortillas and an Iced teas was $44 + tip.
