Everything 5/5 This is the old magdelina. I believe there is a door that connects to the bar next door Venice, the kind Ludger. Beautiful decor, same as before, art deco, velvet couches, rich in texture plant, wood very cozy and great for a date, friends 5a7. The drinks were delicious I was pleasantly surprised. The cocktail ingredients seemed meh but it was really well made and balanced and flavorful and interesting. I saw the bartender make it and he was paying attention and taking his time. And cocktails were 10$ which is insanely affordable. The service was good too, not overly bugging if we needed anything but checking in, greeted at the door instantly although it was a rainy Wednesday so not that busy. Music at a good level it honestly ranged in different styles from Mariah Carey to Indie alternative but it works. Lighting is low great ambiance tho à but difficult to read the menus. Would definitely go back.
Absolutely loved this spot. Warm, open, inviting and beyond awesome staff and cocktails. You are made to feel like you’ve come to the home of your best friend or family - because you are. Truly could not say enough great things about the staff and quality of the entire experience - from the decor to the ambiance to the vibe and the drinks. All of it - SUPERB!! CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!
Loved the ambiance, the simple but tasteful decor and the fact its connected to Venice restaurant. Had arrived as the kitchen was closing and they were nice enough to accommodate our late order. Friendly staff, great drinks tried cucumbair, the good thyme and the tanqueray 10 and live music. Perfect spot to hang out. Loved the happy coincidence of discovering this place.
Manager and staff are super friendly. Always got great service here. Good selection of nearly everything from beer to hard liquor. Cocktails are on the expensive side of the spectrum, like most cocktail bars in the city. Overall, good vibes and not super packed the last 2 times we came. Would go back for happy hour.
Had 2 delicious cocktails the air cucumber and something I can't remember the name of but it had tequila and pineapple juice. Can highly recommend this place
Whoever gave this amazing cocktail bar one star must be on some wild drugs. I love the cocktails here and the wine selection is incredible. Also that fainting situation was hella misrepresented. The staff are great and they are helpful. Don't let some wack one-perspective review stop you from visiting!
The cocktails are delicious but sometimes too much ice. The staff is very friendly. The first time I went I brought a bunch of friends on my bday and they put us in the glass box in the front where the music was crazy loud and bouncing all over the glass walls and when we asked them to turn it down they said it was as low as it would go...we ended up throwin GB a coat over it cuz it was overwhelming. The second time we went we ended up in the same spot but they seem to have fixed the issue. All the drinks I tried there were really good and my friends enjoyed theirs too.
Great selection of cocktails. The barmen there knew their stuff. We had the chance to chat with the manager and he was super passionate about the staff and running the place itself.
They treat their customers terribly! This place is not recommended especially if you have health problems! A customer fainted there last Friday and their main concern was to get her out the door! Her blood pressure was very low. They took her outside to lay on the wet side walk. Under the rain. And did not allow her to go back in when she was cold!!!! They asked her to wait for the ambulance OUTSIDE! But made sure that they paid their bill even for some of the food that hasn’t been served yet! FYI when someone faints, you are not allowed to move them until the paramedics arrive!
Poor service because it was understaffed. Ordered our drinks 3 times and after 30 minutes we still haven’t gotten our drinks. Saw some people enter and leave because of bad service. It’s such a shame because the drinks are good!
