Pangaea Restaurant

Much could be made of the picturesque setting over the river and the old mill, but these people are not doing much. The food is bad and the service is deplorable. Gone and forgotten are the days when people would flock from afar to taste the mets the Médière family offered in the celebrated "Rainbarrel" restaurant at this location. Bennington is done. There's nothing to see, do or even eat there any more, and the lamentable Pangea is only another saddening reminder of this.

Tasting and sampling for an upcoming wedding was a stunning experience and a culinary delight. Chef Pamela Bates has earned an exclusive contract with Hildene for the past many years for all the right reasons! Flavor, texture, presentation meets perfection.

I can only speak for the experience on the "Lounge Side" of Pangea. The food there is good and reasonably priced. They have a nice selection of beer and wine.

Great place! Delicious and creative menu. The lounge side is reasonably priced with a nice atmosphere and admirable drink selections. Service is usually good.

Both the main dining area and the lounge are good solid choices. Check the menu ahead of to see if it fits your needs.
