Food is fresh & hot. Malaysian chicken was tasty. Chinese buffets have gotten so average. Each location had unique items. But so much of the food send to be commercialized American food rather than Chinese food. Notice to all Chinese food restaurants. We want more authentic, indigenous food. We like the native tastes and experience. Please..... !
I had heard bad things about this buffet initially, and was hesitant to try it, but ultimately, it is no better, nor worse than a similar one, such as Fuji. The selection was diverse, ranging from classics, to things you wouldn't expect at a Chinese buffet. They even had thin cut steak, that they cook to your liking. For cheap, passable food, this is worth at least trying once.
Great food and service! They made my special request sushi and it was fresh and perfectly made. Buffet also had a great selection while tasting fresh.
So the hot and sour soup was amazing and they featured some fantastic items including sushi, crabs, steamed buns, and a grill with stir fry to order. However the quality of the rest of the food was mediocre, there was almost no sushi left at 6:30 pm on a Thursday. All the raw vegetables at the salad bar and grill were wilting. I'm pretty sure they were understaffed as I only saw three employees there. This place has a lot of potential but they could do so much better. That said, my kids and family still had a wonderful time. It's possible my opinion is colored by the previous restaurant that existed on the location.
Being my first time, l must say that l had a good time in Panda Buffet & Grill. I was very much pleased with the food and service. The food was great and the lady that attended was exceptional. I'll definitely come back any other day l'm in Grand Rapids. Bravo Panda Buffet & Grill. Keep up the good work.
The smell was off putting. We went a second time just to be sure we were being fair with the review. The first time we had pretty bad service, but the food was alright not great so we went back. The second time around the food was edible, but if your looking for a solid Chinese food experience I'd be hesitant. If you don't mind a generic buffet with mediocre service check it out.
Good value for lunch. Very large selection of food. Sushi selection us quite small. Hibachi is disappointing. No self serve sauces available just 2 the chef can add. Very good service. Enjoy making my own hibachi plate so a little bummed.
They close at 930pm, we got there at 830. The food was a little dried out and they were condensing a lot of it. To be honest, it's the same floor layout that Old Country Buffet had, it looks like the same seats and booths, but even though we got there late, the food was still decent. The staff was friendly. I'd go back, and definitely earlier so I could try the food much fresher.
Have watched all of 4 employees ignore food that spilled onto the buffet, food has been lukewarm at best. In 45 minutes all of 2 dishes have been refilled. Everything appears to have sat out for about an hour based on how dried out it has been and only small amounts being left on the buffet. The only time i really have seen employees has been when they were getting plates for themself. To add to it, i was just brought a bill without ever being checked on. I was severely disappointed after the nice looking entrance but thats all that was really there. Has anyone asked or really spoken to me, i would have asked if any of the food was going to be refilled during the next 2 hours they were open but that opportunity never came. Alas I now get to leave slightly queasy, still hungry, and very disappointed.
Went to eat here last Friday night with my boyfriend. The problem came when I went to the salad bar, and made a salad, with a side of pasta salad. When I went to take a bite of the pasta salad I was horrified to find purple mold on the under layer of the pasta salad. I immediately spit out my food, and by boyfriend waved down the waitress to show her. The waitress said, 'i'm so sorry, that is gross,' and then asked if she could take it over to show management. She went to show management, and we got up to leave, when she never came back. When we went up the counter where you pay, one of the manager's that she had showed to moldy food to wearing an orange polo shirt, rang up our meals and told us the total. Not only should we never have been charged for our food, but we should have at the very least been given an apology. Absolutely rude, and completely disgusting! We paid for our meal, and we will never be back.
