Went here with some friends and had so many awesome dishes. The Lo Mein blew my mind and the lemon pepper wings I couldn’t get enough of either. The pepper lamb was so tender and flavourful, as was the curry goat. Service was impeccable as well. Overall just a really wonderful experience. I can’t wait to go back on a Friday or Saturday night for the Ladies night $5 cocktails. I looked at the drink menu and they all sound so delicious.
This Caribbean Asian style fusion restaurant delivers solid refreshing dishes. I tried the jerk chicken/ Chillin chicken wet and doubles . They were all tasty . Well done and I am happy to have a Hakka style resto in North Oshawa. Price is also favourable as well.
Visited this place a week ago. Spacious and clean and lots of seating area. You could actually go here with a group as it’s not a hole in the wall kind of place. A proper restaurant with service and ample car parking in the plaza and if that is full, you could park your car in the adjacent freshco parking lot. Great location. South of 407 and just right when you exit 407 and if that is not good enough it’s right at the Winchester and Simcoe. Winchester goes into become hwy 7 towards the west. Service is really good. Most of the time it’s one hostess in the mornings with others joining in towards evening from what I have observed. They are really accommodating and friendly and have a pleasant demeanour all the time. The food although not amongst the healthiest kind, it’s really tasty and you get that Hakka Caribbean experience leaning mostly towards the Caribbean side you should try the Jamaican beer with some good ok chicken wings. The house fried rice with jerk chicken on top is a killer in the best sense of way and the jerk chicken is one of the softest one would find. I like the fact that they go easy on salt in their food and If they are using MSG, you’d feel they are not heavy users of that as well. One recommendation though is to use slightly less oil but if that is going to compromise the taste then I take that back . You won’t go here for healthy food but it’s clean, tasty, with good service and lots of space outside and inside and if you go here with your friends and family on a weekend or any other day of the week for that matter, you won’t regret it. Try it out and let me know what you guys think. It’s very close to where I live, so for sure I’m going back or ordering from them.
Decided to try this new West Indian place out and called to place an order. The waitress put me on hold and I was on hold for a long time. My wife decided to call from her phone and the lady picked up and took the order she clearly forgot I was on hold. She told us that the order would be ready for pick up in 25min. Got there 30min later and food was not ready which is fine. However I stood waiting there for over 30min and still no food. In total over an hour waiting for 4 items. Waitress told me they were busy with take out orders but I was the only one there waiting to pick up food and their phone did not ring while I was there. Got home and the fried rice was burnt, taste way worse than the picture looks. After eating I can still taste the burnt flavour. Never AGAIN!!!
I saw a post about halal meat and I had to give it a try.... and im happy to say that ALL OF THE MEAT IS HALAL! I tried the duck and potato curry with Dahl. I have never had duck before but I loved it. It was tender and a bit like beef. My husband had the special chow mein with jerk chicken. Jerk chicken was amazing. We will definitely come back to try their wings.
Stopped in for dinner and drinks after work, first time visit. Immediately met with a very cool vibe and a friendly greeting. Honestly the hard part with the menu was narrowing down what to try since it all looked amazing. Ended up trying the doubles and a few other appetizers. Food was amazing, but what really made the visit great was the service. Kim was an amazing host for our first visit to this gem of a restaurant and made great recommendations for what to try, as well as letting us know about some menu items that were coming soon. Will 100% be back here, definitely for the food, but also because of the service. Thank you Kim and Palm Court team for a great night!
I ordered beef fried rice, and the beef looked too dry and did not taste like beef maybe it is bushmeat. When this place first opened, the food was decent, after a couple of months, it seems like whatever I order, the food is either not fresh, or they will serve you someone elses order which had been sitting there for some hours, be aware. Instead of wasting your hard-earned money at this place, go to the food truck on Winchester Rd, towards Bridle Rd before Ritson Rd,next to this plaza. You will find much better food there, and tasty Jerk chicken which is way better then Palm Court.
As everyone mentioned service is awful. Ordered jerk chicken and paratha/chicken curry requested to come back after 25 mins went back after 30 mins they advised paratha will take a while it’s better to take dhal puri to go now. They can’t decide what customers want and if they do they will loose business due to lack of their service ethic.
I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are amazing, friendly, prompt. And the food...oh friends, the food is amazing. Are you looking to soothe your cravings for the nostalgia of home? Then there's something for you. Are you feeling for some Caribbean kissed Chinese style food? Then stop here. I recommend the pepper beef. I don't know how they infused this plate with magic, but this lovely chef certainly has. I also recommend the beef lo mein. It was perfectly balanced with sweet, ginger, savory, goodness. The doubles are phenomenal. We went back the next day to have more. I'm not lying - this place is delicious!!! Get everything on the menu. We nearly did, and ran out of room on the table.
Very welcoming atmosphere , friendly and clean , the server did her best to ensure we were happy and satisfied , and the food was delicious.
