Very nice and quiet Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and the scenery I could see was appealing. I had the veal dish with pasta and vegetables and a side of asparagus. The food was terrific, especially the veal! Probably the best veal I've ever experienced. The prices are also very reasonable for the outstanding quality. I'd much rather pay $30 on an exquisite dish here than $30 on a half decent burger at some other places...
We arrived less than an hour before closing and had prompt service. Our food was amazing the lasagna was some of the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant is attached a hotel but has a more upscale intimate ambiance for a great date night. The only thing stopping this from being a five star review is the cocktails. We ordered to Blue Hawaiian and the Red Devil which both didn’t taste great. I would definitely return for the food but skip the cocktails next time.
Amazing food and staff! Jim and Rene are both amazing people. They are very friendly and welcoming. My first night at the restaurant was so good I had to come back for another dinner the following day. The food Jim recommended was the lamb. It truly melts in your mouth. The prime rib was just as good the second night. The chefs really know how to make good food. When I am in town I know where I will be staying and having dinner!!
I would not recommend there take out service at all!! The Bruschetta app for 14$ looked like a take out from safeway, it was quite bland just disappointing. The “garlic bread” was the saddest part considering it was coming from a real “Italian” restaurant I thought it would be better. The spaghetti w/bison meat balls was okay, but for 25$ 4 meatballs that look like they come out of the frozen section at the grocery store is pretty bad. This is the first meal I have ever wanted to return for a refund but after working a 14 hour day, you will just about eat anything. I would say go to Safeway and save your money!
My great server brought three pieces of bread for dipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil...super tasty...I ordered the Caesar salad: I had a half order but it was the size of some establishment's regular size - delicious. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, also excellent...I haven't been here in a while but when I'm next in Grande Prairie, I'll eat there!
Very nice place, we had a wonderful time with our team. The food was delicious the Ravioli was my favourite, I don’t have the pic of it though
I was working in the area, and stopped to get a room at the Best Western hotel, after checking in I noticed a Sign for the in house restaurant. Well that’s very convenient I might as well try it out, I wouldn’t have to move my truck. It’s easy to find right next to the Tony Roma’s as well. It’s very nice, and comfortable, the waiter was kinda busy so it took a few minutes to get my order. I asked for the seafood chowder, and the Spaghetti with Bison meat balls. The soup was amazing, full of chunky pieces of seafood, and vegetables. The spaghetti and meatballs were also very good. I had no room for desert after all that. It was very reasonable and very generous portions. I think you could bring the whole family and everyone would enjoy the food. I will be trying more of the menu while I am in town.
Food was excellent and service was top notch. We got stuck behind a large Dinner party and waited closer to one hour for our meals but still very enjoyable. It’s only open from 5-9pm so reserve a table and be ready for a excellent meal.
Great food and great service at this hidden gem. It has been our favourite date night restaurant for many years! It's quiet and consistent, with nice, fresh ingredients. Our go-to choices are Scallopine Al Basilico, Filetto Di Manzo, and the Dessert Medley, with a bottle of St. Francis Merlot. Highly recommend Padrino's
While staying at the Best Western in Grande Prairie, we decided to try the attached restaurant for supper. What a fantastic experience! The ambiance was lovely! Our food was cooked to perfection and reminded us of the two weeks we had recently spent in Italy!
