Stopped in for lunch while on a cruise. The menu appears to have a nice offering of different items. The restaurant is large and fairly roomy. We got a hamburger, lobster/crab dip, and the corned beef sandwich. Overall, the food was pretty good, but not quite to 5-star level. The rye bread was burned a bit on my corned beef sandwich, and there was a lot of seasoning on the lobster/crab dip. So much seasoning it could almost be imitation crab and the seasoning could mask the taste. It wasn't imitation crab, just saying there was A LOT of seasoning on it. The burger had good flavor, but the bun got soggy fast. So much so, the burger couldn't be finished. Service was marginal. We were sat fairly quickly, able to order reasonably fast, but waited probably 20-25 min for food. Once the food came, drinks were topped off once, and we never saw our server after that. We had to flag someone down to get our check. Generally speaking, when we've had our plates cleared and the server sees a nearly untouched entree lobster/crab dip, they ask of something was wrong. No observations here. They just cleared the plates and brought the check. In summary I don't regret eating here, but it wasn't good enough to earn all of my business every time. There are a lot of other restaurants withing walking distance. I'd def try one of them next time.
Beautiful restaurant, quick and personable service and really tasty food and drinks. I really enjoyed the Jameson Jewel drink, it packed a nice whisky punch with a sweet fruity balance. The Caesar salad with lobster and the lobster bisque were phenomenal. I’d eat the lobster bisque everyday if I could! The lazy man lobsters dinner was 5 stars also! Really a great place that left a lasting impression. I live far out of state but if I were near by, I’d be here all the time!
On one of the days of our New England tour, we stopped here, right after a boat ride and before heading to New Hampshire. We wanted a light meal and we couldn't have made a better choice. We started with a great cheese platter with nuts and berries, then some lobster bisques and an amazing blueberry pie to finalize. Everything was great!! The service was very good and the waiter also recommended some of our choices.
The food was very good. I had the pub burger with truffle fries. The burger was above average but not quite good enough to earn 5 stars. The truffle fries were exceptionally good. The service was excellent! We really enjoyed the setting, looking out over the harbor. 4.5 stars. Parking: Parking nearby can be a challenge because Bar Harbor gets really crowded. If you go early 5 pm or so you might be able to park close to the restaurant.
My wife and I had a quick minute for breakfast so we stopped by and were not disappointed! The lobster Benedict stole the show, but is that a surprise to anyone!?! We enjoyed this amazing breakfast before going out for the day and only wished we had time to come back for lunch or dinner to try some of the things on those menus!
Delicious food, tasty cocktails, and a beautiful view of the ocean. A little pricey, but this was our favorite dinner we had while visiting Bar Harbor. The wings, Caesar salad, and Maple glazed salmon were all excellent. Would definitely eat here again.
#1 favorite spot on our trip to Bar Harbor without a doubt hands down. Great beer selection, outstanding food and a beautiful view of the marina. It was such a nice day low 70's and a bit overcast a perfect day to sit on the patio. The Pub dip and Reuben were great choices along with a Guinness to wash them down
2nd time here; My husband and I came back. We both wanted something different then seafood. Except we saw the Seafood dip and had to try it. It was so yummy. My husband ordered a burger and he said it was so good. He jokingly said he'd ordered another. I had one of the pubs favorites it was the steak with Asparagus and truffle fries and it comes with their own steak sauce not needed their steak is delicious on its own. Their blueberry Ale is also really good. We will be back. It's really good food. 1st time here; I had their nachos, our new friend had their lobster roll, my husband had their clam chowder and we shared this giant pretzel. We all enjoyed our food. Great place, great people, delicious food!!! Thank you! Vegetarian options: I didn't actually look, but I bet it's possible, just ask. Kid-friendliness: It's not really for kids, but I'm sure they have options. Parking: Parking on the street. After 8pm you don't have to pay for parking. Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on ground level. Dietary restrictions: Just speak to them about your restrictions.
Went here for a family dinner. They have a nice selection of beers and we were able to get some items modified to be vegan. I wouldn’t say anything was standout in terms of food but the staff was nice and we didn’t need a reservation. We ate inside because of weather but the patio looked very niceDine in: YesOutdoor seating: Yes
We came here twice during our stay in Bar Harbor. The service is so quick. We had the seafood chowder and the BEST truffle fries we’ve ever had. Both very flavorful and the perfect amount of food for dinner.
